machinebeforeproceeding.Themanualcontains

importantinformationaboutsafelyoperatingthe

machine.Ifyoudonotknowthisinformation,you

couldseriouslyinjureyourselforothers.

1.Parkthemachineonalevel,smoothsurfacewith

sufcientspacetoaccessbothsidesofthemowing

deck.

2.Levelthemowingdeck;seetheOperator'sManualfor

thismachine.

3.Lowerthemowingdecktotheshortestcutting

height.

WARNING

Beforeworkingonthemachine,stoptheengine,

settheparkingbrake,removetheignitionkey,

anddisconnectthesparkplugwire.

CAUTION

Ifyouleavethekeyintheignitionswitch,

someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineand

seriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.

Removethekeyfromtheignitionanddisconnect

thewirefromthesparkplugbeforeyoudoany

maintenance.Setthewireasidesothatitdoes

notaccidentallycontactthesparkplug.

4.Removethemowingdeckandslideitoutfrom

underthetractionunit;refertotheOperator’sManual

forthismachine.

Installing the Deck Belt Guards 5. Install the mowing deck onto the traction unit as described in the Operator's Manual. 1. Loosen, but do not remove, the flange nut on the outside of each suspension bracket on the rear of the deck; see Figure 1. 6. Verify that the guard is clear of all moving parts (across their full range of operation), that it will not cause damage to wires, hoses or other components and that it will not interfere with the safe operation of the traction unit or the cutting deck.

Important: Before drilling, measure the dimensions on this diagram to verify that it is printed at the correct size. Mounting the guard in the wrong location may result in a reduced range in the height-of-cut or damage to the machine. Figure 6 1. Locate area on the deck. 3.
