Remove the fan shaft and bearings from the blower (Figure 1).

The bearing fits into the O-ring bearing retainer and the marks on the bearing holder should align with the marks on the inner housing. 1. Bearing holder 2. Inner housing 3. Bolts 4. Flange nuts 6. Place two 2 x 4 blocks or equivalent, under the edges of the outer turbine housing to raise it off the work surface (Figure 5). 5.

7. Insert the inner turbine housing into the outer turbine housing (Figure 5). 8. Using the 1/4 x 3/4 inch screws removed, loosely secure the inner housing vanes to the outer housing with one screw each (finger tight) (Figure 6). The inner housing must be loose to allow the installation of the stator vanes. Figure 7 1. Stator vanes 10. Lay the turbine housing onto it’s side (Figure 8). Figure 6 1. Screw 9. Reinstall the stator vanes (Figure 7) per the instructions in the Service Manual.

Figure 9 1. Screw 2. Fin 3. Outer housing 12. Position a fin spacer between the fin and the outer housing and loosely secure with (2) 1/4 x 3/4 inch screws (Figure 10). Do not tighten the screws until all of the fin spacers are installed. Figure 10 1. Fin spacer 13. Loosely install the remaining spacers and then torque all the screws to 80–90 in-lbs. 14. Install the assembly to the blower following the instructions in the Service Manual.
