1.Removethe4boltsthatholdthebeltcoversinplace,

andremovethebeltcovers.

Note:Savethescrewstoinstallthebeltcover.

2.Cleananddrythetopofthesnowthrowerframeto

removealloilanddirt.

Important:Thesealantwillnotadheretoa

dirtyframe,andanimpropersealmayallow

moisturetopenetratethesealandleakontothe

frictionwheel.

Important:YouwillneedaexiblesiliconeRTV

sealant(suchasLoctite5045orLoctite5905)to

completethisprocedure.Thesealantshouldbe

waterandoilresistant.

1.Apply2parallelbeadsofsealanttothebottomof

thedriveshield(Figure1).

Note:Donotapplysealantintheareabetweenthe

locatingtabsandthefrontedgeofthedriveshield

(Figure1).

Installing the Trim Seal (Optional) Parts needed for this procedure: 1 Trim seal Procedure On models with more than a 1/2-inch gap between the belt cover and the front of the engine, add the trim seal to the belt cover to further prevent moisture from entering the drive area. 1. 3 Montage du joint de garniture (option) Pièces nécessaires pour cette opération: 1 Joint de garniture Procédure Sur les modèles présentant un écart de plus de 1,25 cm (1/2") entre le couvercle de courroie et l'avant du moteur, ajoutez le joint de garniture sur le couvercle de courroie pour renforcer la protection contre l'humidité de la transmission. 1. Commencez d'un côté du joint de garniture et forcez-le peu à peu sur le bord du couvercle de courroie jusqu'au bout (Figure 5). Figure 5 1.
