Preparing the Machine

Procedure

1. P ark the mac hine on a lev el surface and

diseng ag e the blade control (PTO).

2. Mo v e the motion control lev ers to the brak e

position, stop the engine , remo v e the k ey , and

w ait for all mo ving par ts to stop before lea ving

the operating position.

3. Allo w the engine to cool before contin uing

with the installation.

Step

Installing the Ring Bafes

Parts needed for this step:

Ring bafe, front

Ring bafe, rear

Bolt (1/4 x 3/4 inch)

Locknut (1/4 inch)

Procedure

1. Install the front end bafﬂe to the mo w er as

sho wn in Figure 1 and Figure 2 . Use 3 bolts

(1/4 x 3/4 inc h) and 3 loc kn uts (1/4 inc h) to

secure the bafﬂes to the mo w er .

Rear ring bafe 2. Install the two rear ring bafﬂes to the mower as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. Use 6 bolts (1/4 x 3/4 inch) and 6 locknuts (1/4 inch) to secure the bafﬂes to the mower. 3. Torque all fasteners to 90-110 in-lb (10-12 N⋅m).
