InstallationInstructions

Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthemachinefromthenormaloperatingposition.

InstallingtheWheelSpacers

Partsneededforthisprocedure:

Shortspacer

4Longspacer

Bolt(1/2x4-1/2inches)

Flangenut(1/2inch)

Thrustwasher(1/2inch)

Procedure

1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers

totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking

brake.

2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall

movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating

position.

3.Loosenthelugnutsorboltsonthereartires

(Figure1).

4.Raisethemachinesothereartiresareofftheground

andsupportthemachinewithjackstands.

5.Removethelugnutsorboltsandreartiresfromthe

machine(Figure1).

6.Removethebrakebandboltsandremovethebrake

bandfromthewheelhub(Figure1).

7.Removethecotterpinfromtheaxlenutandremove

theaxlenutandwasher(Figure1).

8.Pullthewheelhubfromthewheelmotor(Figure1).

Thismayrequiretheuseofapulleypullertoremove

it.

Makesurethewoodruffkeyremainswiththewheel

motorshaft.

9.Ifneeded,removethehydrauliclinesconnectedto

thewheelmotor(Figure1).Raisetheendsabovethe

hydraulictanktopreventtheuidrunningoutand

plugthehydrauliclines.

10.Removetheretainerpinfromtheyokeatthetopof

thebrakelinkage(Figure1).

Note:Rememberthepositionofthespacers.The

longspacersareusedfortherearboltsandtheshort

spacersareusedforthefrontbolts.

11.Removethebolts,spacers,washersandnutsholding

thewheelmotortotheframeandremovethewheel

motorandbrakeassembly(Figure1).Discardthe

spacers.

12.Installeachwheelmotorandbrakeassemblytothe

framewiththe2newshort,2longspacers,4ange

nuts(1/2inch),4thrustwashers(1/2inch)and4

bolts(1/2x4-1/2inches)(Figure2).Ensurethe

spacersareinstalledinthecorrectposition.

13.Torquetheboltsto100ft-lb(136N-m).

14.Connectthehydrauliclinestothewheelmotorif

removeearlier(Figure2).

15.Installthewheelhubtothewheelmotorwiththe

woodruffkey,washer,andslottednut(Figure2).

Remove the retainer pin from the yoke at the top of the brake linkage (Figure 1). 1 Installing the Wheel Spacers 11. Remove the bolts, spacers, washers and nuts holding the wheel motor to the frame and remove the wheel motor and brake assembly (Figure 1). Discard the spacers.

16. Torque the slotted nut to 125 ft-lb (170 N-m) (Figure 3). 17. Check the distance from bottom of slot in nut to inside edge of hole. Two threads or less should be showing (Figure 3). 18. If more than two threads are showing remove nut and install washer between hub and nut. 19. Tighten the nut until the next set of slots line up with the hole in the shaft (Figure 3). 20.
