Subject: Repair of Drive Shaft Gear seal surface.
Fairway Aerators that are operated in areas where the soil has a high sand content may
exhibit wear of the sealing surface on the Shaft Drive Gears. The abrasive action of the
sand may cause wear at the seal surface and result in oil leaks due to seal
deterioration.
The seal surface on the Shaft Drive Gears can be repaired by the use of a Chicago
Rawhide Speedi-Sleeve
®
Repair kit. The repair kits can be obtained through your local
Toro distributor. Installation instructions are included with kit.
