1.PutthemachineinNeutralandturntheengineOff.
2.Removetheknobtotheshiftlever.
3.Removethe4boltsontheshift-indicatorplate(Step
AinFigure1).
Note:Donotdiscardthebolts.

4.Disconnectthewiringharnessfromtheexisting
indicatorpanel.
5.Sliptheshift-indicatorplateassemblyovertheshift
lever(StepBinFigure1).
InstallingtheShift-IndicatorPlate
Assembly
1.Slipthenewshift-indicatorplateassemblyoverthe
shiftlever(StepCinFigure1).
2.Connectthewiringharness.
Note:Ensurethatthewiringharnessdoesnot
interferewiththeshiftlinkage.
3.Installtheknobontotheshiftlever(StepDinFigure
1).
4.Securetheshift-indicatorplatewiththebolts(StepD
inFigure1).
5.Checktheshiftcableadjustment.
Note:Whentheshiftlockisactive,theshiftlever
shouldnotbeabletoenterhighrange.
Iftheshiftleverisabletoenterhighrangewith
theshiftlockactivated,adjustthecableclevisat
thetransmissionendoftheshiftcable.Checkthe
adjustmenttoensurethatthelockisworkingproperly.
