Maintenance and Storage • Remove the key from the ignition switch to prevent accidental starting of the engine when servicing, adjusting, or storing the machine. • Perform only those maintenance instructions described in this manual. If major repairs are ever needed or assistance is desired, contact an Authorized Toro Distributor. • Be sure that the machine is in safe operating condition by keeping nuts, bolts, and screws tight.

Roll the deck under the Versa Vac. Make sure the flail is positioned to the front.

Operation 3. Repeat the procedure on opposite side of the deck. Make sure both castor assemblies are mounted at the same height. Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position. 4. Remove the clevis pin from the spindle shaft (Figure 9). Adjusting the Operating Height The operating height of the Combination Deck is set at the factory for 1/2 inch high grass.
Important: Do not make sharp turns when using the combination deck as damage to turf may occur. Important: Do not operate combination deck while rotor is turning and in the raised position. Inspection And Cleanup After Operation When operation has been completed, thoroughly clean and wash the deck. After cleaning, it is recommended that the machine be inspected for possible damage to all mechanical components. These procedures will assure that the machine will perform satisfactorily during next use.
Maintenance Important: Lubricating the deck immediately after washing helps purge water out of the bearings and increases bearing life. Lubrication 1. Wipe each grease fitting with a clean rag. The deck has 12 grease fittings that must be must be lubricated regularly. If the machine is operated under normal conditions, lubricate the bearings and bushings with No. 2 general purpose lithium base grease or molybdenum base grease after every 8 hours of operation or daily, whichever comes first. 2.
