Safety • Lower the cutting units to the ground, engage the parking brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key from the ignition switch whenever you leave the machine unattended. Install these items onto the 353mm long pin supplied with the cutting unit. Fit this assembly onto the arm. For 250mm cutting units only: Using the 400mm long pin already fitted to the arm, remove the nut cap, nut, and washer from the pin. 3. Adjusting the Height of Cut Operation 1. Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position. Operating the Cutting Unit The height of cut is gauged by the position of the rear roller. Turn the adjusting nut assembly both ends clockwise to decrease the height of cut or counter-clockwise to increase the height of cut (Figure 8).
Clearing the Cutting Cylinders WARNING Never attempt to rotate the cutting cylinders by hand. There may be some residual pressure in the hydraulic system, which could cause injury through sudden movement of the cylinder(s) when you release the blockage. • Always wear protective gloves and use a suitable strong wooden stick. • Ensure that the wooden stick fits between the blades and through the cylinder and is long enough to provide sufficient clearance and leverage to release the blockage. 1.

To ensure optimum performance and safety, always purchase genuine Toro replacement parts and accessories. Replacement parts and accessories made by other manufacturers could be dangerous.
