Inbetriebnahme a) Ein-/Ausschalten und Drehgeschwindigkeit 1.

Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee. a) General information • The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
c) Persons and product • Do not block any of the ventilation openings on the product. Clean the ventilation openings on a regular basis. The motor fan draws dust into the housing; a significant accumulation of metal dust can cause electrical hazards. • Store the product out of the reach of children and untrained persons. The product is dangerous when used by untrained persons.
f) Safety instructions • Keep the mains cable away from rotating tools. If you lose control of the device, the mains cable may be cut or snagged and your hand or arm may be pulled into the rotating tool. • Never put the multi-purpose tool down until the tool attachment has come to a complete standstill. The rotating tool may come into contact with the work surface, which may cause you to lose control of the multi-purpose tool. • Do not run the multi-purpose tool when carrying it to another location.
g) Warnings for grinding tasks • Only use the grinding tools approved for your multi-purpose tool and the transparent visual shield designed for these grinding tools. Grinding tools that are not designed for the multi-purpose tool cannot be adequately shielded and are unsafe. • Grinding tools must only be used for the recommended applications. Never grind using the side of a cutting disc. Cutting discs are designed to remove material using the edge of the disc.
• Be particularly careful when working near corners, sharp edges, etc. to prevent attached tools from recoiling from the workpiece and jamming. The rotating tool tends to jam at corners, sharp edges or when it rebounds. This results in loss of control or kickback. • Do not use a serrated saw blade. These tools often cause kickback or cause you to lose control of the multi-purpose tool.
• When using a power tool in a dry environment outdoors, e.g. under canopies or under stands, only use extension cables that are suitable for outdoor use. Using an extension cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of an electric shock. • If operation of the power tool in a humid environment is unavoidable, use a residual current circuit breaker. Using a residual current circuit breaker reduces the risk of an electric shock. j) Using and handling the product • Never overload the device.

The front side leaves scratches on the workpiece. 7 Cutting disc with holder • Attach a cutting disc (1) to the holder (4). Tighten the screws.
• The tool shaft should be clamped to about two thirds of its length to prevent banging and vibrations due to the clamping length being too short. b) Installation and use of additional devices 1 Installing the transparent visual shield • Install the transparent visual shield (21) in order to protect your eyes from flying sparks. 2 Installing the handle • Install the handle (19) with the mounting ring on the multi-purpose tool to provide an additional two-handed guide.
Removing grinding tools 7 • Place the grinding stone (16) on a flat surface, hold it in place and guide the sanding tool that you want to remove in a straight line back and forth along the entire length of the grinding stone at the desired angle. Do not pass the grinding tool over the edge of the sharpening stone. They will slide off. When working on the rotating tool, do not only press on one point of the sharpening stone. This may produce a groove in the sharpening stone if repeated several times.
d) Installing the stand Install and secure the stand (table clamp and telescopic tube) as follows: 1. Screw the vice of the table clamp (18) to a work/table top of a suitable thickness with the rod holder pointing upwards. 2. Screw the threaded piece on the telescopic tube into the upper or lateral thread hole on the rod holder. 3. Hang the metal handle on the multi-purpose tool to the bent hook on the top of the telescopic tube. 4. The height of the stand can be adjusted using the telescopic tube.
f) Notes on the use of grinding tools • Do not install the grinding tools on the device without an approved clamping device. They should be attached to the machine type for which they are intended. Excessive vibrations can lead to breakage. • Carefully unpack the new grinding tools and clean them with a brush. Inspect them for damage that may have occurred during transport. Careless handling during unpacking may damage the grinding tools. • You can test the grinding tools by conducting a sound test.
11. Maintenance 1 Replacing the carbon brushes • The carbon brushes are wearing parts and will become worn during the course of use. Never replace the carbon brushes yourself. Ensure that this maintenance work is carried out by an experienced technician. • Check the carbon brushes (C) regularly (unscrew the holder). • Always replace both carbon brushes together to avoid damaging the appliance. • Never operate the device with one carbon brush. 12.
