Set Up Connecting to Power Source Connect the AC plug into a working wall outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch. The unit does not operate on batteries (the battery back up system maintains clock settings during power failures). AUX IN Turning the Unit ON or OFF MODE ALM RESET ON MODE ALM RESET OFF 2 SECS • Press and release the Power/Mode/Alarm Reset Button on the unit at any time to turn the unit On. • Press and hold the Power/Mode/Alarm Reset Button to turn the unit Off.
CLOCK/ PRESET 2 2 SECS Press and hold the Clock/Preset Button until the time flashes on the display. 3 HOUR PM indicator Press and release the Hour/ Button to adjust the HOUR. NOTE: The PM indicator will light when the hour is set for PM. There is no AM indicator. MIN 4 Press and release the Minute/ 5 Button to adjust the MINUTES. CLOCK/ PRESET Press and release the Clock/Preset Button to complete time setting.
Setting and Using Alarms This unit has two independent alarms, Alarm 1 and Alarm 2. Each is set and operates in the same way. Instructions below show Alarm 1. Follow the same method to set Alarm 2. 1 2 SECS Press and hold the Alarm 1 Button until current alarm time flashes on the display. PM indicator 2 HOUR Press and release the Hour/ Button to adjust the HOUR. NOTE: The PM indicator will light when the hour is set for PM. There is no AM indicator.
4 Press and release the Alarm 1 Button to complete alarm time setting. SELECTING YOUR ALARM SOURCE/DISARMING THE ALARM Alarm set to Buzzer Set alarm to Buzzer Set alarm to Radio Alarm set to Radio Alarm OFF (no indicator) Disarm alarm Press and release the Alarm 1 Button repeatedly as needed to cycle to desired alarm mode: Buzzer (default), Radio (last AM or FM station played) or Off (alarm is no longer active). Note that the last radio volume listened to will be the radio alarm volume.
SNOOZE Press and release the Snooze/Sleep Button when the alarm sounds to silence it for 9 minutes. Snooze can be used several times during alarm. SNOOZE/SLEEP Setting and Using the Radio BASIC RADIO OPERATION TIP: Extend FM antenna for best reception. AM 1 FM Press and release the Power/Mode/Alarm Reset Button as needed to turn unit On and select AM or FM radio band. MIN HOUR 2 OR Press and release the Hour/ Button or Minute/ Button to tune radio to a desired station.
PRESET RADIO SETTING AND OPERATION SETTING RADIO PRESETS This unit will store up to 20 station presets, 10 AM and 10 FM. 1 AM FM Press and release the Power/Mode/Alarm Reset Button as needed to turn unit On and select AM or FM radio band. MIN HOUR 2 OR Press and release the Hour/ Button or Minute/ Button to tune radio to a station you want to assign to a preset. Press and hold to seek the next clear station. 3 CLOCK/ PRESET 2 SECS Press and hold the Clock/Preset Button to enter presetting mode.
5 CLOCK/ PRESET Press and release the Clock/Preset Button to confirm the preset number (P01 - P10) you want to assign to the current station. Continue steps 1- 5 to set all desired presets. PRESET RADIO OPERATION To listen to a preset AM or FM station at any time, press and release the Clock/Preset Button as needed to select the desired preset station. 3 OR Control audio playback on your device, making sure output volume is turned up. If needed, press the Volume - Button or Volume + Button to adjust volume on the unit. Sleep Mode Sleep mode allows you to set the unit to turn off after a selected time interval. It allows you to fall asleep while listening to the radio or a device that is connected to the Aux In Jack. NOTE: It will power off the Timex unit, but it will not power off your AUX device.
Dimmer SNOOZE/SLEEP Press and hold the Snooze/Sleep Button to toggle display brightness between high and low settings. Dimmer cannot be adjusted when alarm is sounding. Battery Cautions and Tips • Only use the recommended/supplied batteries or equivalent. • Use alkaline batteries for longer life. • Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc or rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries. • Insert batteries with proper polarity (+/–) as indicated.

Troubleshooting 1. The unit does not power ON. The unit is not connected to AC outlet, the AC outlet has no power, or is controlled by a wall switch that is “OFF”. Check AC outlet and wall switch. 2. Alarm does not come on. The alarm time AM or PM incorrectly set, Alarm was OFF, etc. Check alarm settings. 3. Low battery indicator is on. Batteries have not been installed correctly in the battery compartment or the batteries may be weak or exhausted. Try replacing batteries. 4.
