is ready for operation and displays the measured sound pressure level in the
selected unit.
4. If a computer is to display the measured values or if you want to congure the
device, the supplied software must be used.
5. Install the supplied software DMS-V1 Panel on a computer with Windows operat-

window then appears:
If the USB connection is recognized, "Connected" appears in the top right of the
display, otherwise "Disconnected". The display shows the current sound pressure
level in the selected unit, the display below works in the style of an LED VU
meter.
6. Using the software, you can, amongst others, set a decibel limit (Alarm Thresh-
old) from which onwards the display appears in red. You can also select the
desired unit: dB (A), dB or dB (C).
7. The following parameters can be congured:
VU Refresh Time – Adjustment of the VU LED display's response time
• Microphone oset (Mic Oset) – Adjustment of the microphone signal level
• Alarm Threshold – If the threshold is exceeded, the exceeded value of the
VU LED display is shown in red.
• Automatic Detection of ambient light for brightness setting
• Manual brightness adjustment of the numerical display (Brightness Number)
• Manual brightness adjustment of the VU LEDs (Brightness VU)
• Re-evaluation of the decibel value (Alarm Reset) – If the alarm threshold is
activated, the time after which the decibel value is to be re-evaluated can be
