Installation instructions for kit number 9020107

SYNOPSIS:

This kit contains the parts needed to install a warning light kit onto T17 scrubbers /

M17 sweeper- scrubbers equipped with an optional overhead guard.

Please follow step-by-step instructions.

SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: NONE

Always remember t o recycle.

PREPARATIO N:

1. Park the machine on a clean level surface,

turn off the machine, set the parking brake,

and remove the key.

FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing

machine, stop on level surface, turn off

machine, set parking brake, and remove key.

2. Disconnect the battery cable from the

machine.

W ARNING: Always disconnect battery

cables from machine before working on

electrical components.

INSTALLATION:

1. Remove the battery from the machine. Set

the battery slide out door aside. (Fig. 1)

FOR SAFETY: When servicing machine, use a

non- conductive battery removal device, use a

hoist and adequate assistance when lifting

batteries, follow site safety guidelines

concerning battery removal, and battery

installation must be done by trained

personnel.

. Machines with slide out battery option only: Remove the slide out battery assembly from the machine. Set slide out assembly and all hardware aside. (Fig. 1) Do Not completely disassemble battery slide out assembly when removing it from battery compartment. Battery slide out assembly shown disassembled to show locations of parts. . Remove the support bracket located behind the operator station assembly from the machine. Set support bracket and all hardware aside. (Fig. 2) Remove support bracket. Set support bracket and hardware aside FRONT FIG.

. Disassemble enough of the overhead guard to route the flashing light harness (9) through the right overhead guard tube and down to where it is routed out from the tube and to the main wire harness. Set all disassembled parts and hardware aside. (Fig. 3 / Fig. 4) Right overhead guard tube FRONT FIG.

. Route the overhead guard harness (9) through the right overhead guard tube. (Fig. 4) 7. Route the overhead guard harness (9) to the main wire harness overhead guard connector located near the electrical panel and connect the overhead guard harness to the the main wire harness. 11. Insert the rubber grommet (8) into the hole in the overhead guard. (Fig. 7) 12. Route the strobe light (1) wires down through the rubber grommet (8) in the overhead guard. (Fig. 7) 13. Use two M5 pan screws (2), two flat washers (3), and two M5 hex nuts (4) to install the strobe light (1) onto the overhead guard. (Fig. 7) 14. Use two M6 hex screws (6) and two flat washers (7) to install the light guard (5) onto the overhead guard. (Fig. 7) 15.

Proceed to Step 24 if machine is equipped with optional headlights. 18. Remove the pan screws holding the control panel to the front shroud and set the hardware aside. (Fig. 8) 19. Carefully pull the control panel from the front shroud.

Remove the access panel from the steering channel. Set the hardware aside. (Fig. 12) 25. Remove the M8 hex screws securing the circuit breaker bracket to the machine. Set the hardware aside. (Fig. 12) 26. Carefully pull the circuit breaker bracket out far enough to access the main wire harness connectors located behind the bracket.

33. Start and test the machine. Place the operating light / hazard light switch into the ON position.
