Installation instructions for kit number 9018832

SYNOPSIS:

This kit contains the parts needed to install a battery quick disconnect connector kit onto T17

scrubbers/M17 sweeper scrubbers.

Please follow step-by-step instructions.

PREPARATIO N:

FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing

machine, stop on level surface, turn off

machine, and remove key.

1. Disconnect the battery cable from the

machine.

W ARNING: Always disconnect battery

cables from machine before working on

electrical components.

INSTALLATION:

1. Remove the M6 hex screws/flat washers

securing the machine battery cable connector

to the battery compartment cover. Discard

both M6 hex screws/flat washers. (Fig. 1)

. Remove both cable clamps securing the machine battery cable to the battery compartment cover. Set the cable clamps/M8 hex screws aside. (Fig. 2) 3. Use two M6 hex screws (2), the battery disconnect mounting plate (1), and the battery disconnect mounting base to install the machine battery cable connector onto the battery compartment cover. (Fig. 3) 4. Use two M6 hex screws (6), two flat washers (5), and two M6 flange nuts (7) to install the battery disconnect mounting bracket (4) onto the battery cable.

OPERATION: 1. To disconnect the battery cable from the machine: Pull down on the battery quickdisconnect lever installed on the battery cable connector and while still holding the handle pull the connector away from the machine battery cable. Do Not pull on the cables. (Fig. 4) 2. To disconnect the battery cable from the machine: Slide battery connector into machine battery connector and push the disconnect handle to fully connect the battery connectors. (Fig. 5) FIG. 5 FIG.
