14.Set network services features The following net work services can be obt ained from your service provider: Voice privacy Call wait ing Call forwarding When you subscribe t o any of t hese services, your service provider gives you a feat ure code t hat act ivat es each service. Deact ivat ion codes are used t o deact ivat e each service. Aft er you st ore t he appropriat e code in your phone, t he code is sent t o t he net work t o verify t hat you’re using t he correct feat ure code.
While roam ing in som e syst em s out side your hom e area, you r phone m ay not be recognized by t he host syst em , which is t he syst em in which you’re t raveling. 15.SEND AND RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES Wit h t he t ext m essage net work service, you can send and receive sh ort t ext m essage. You can also send and receive m essages t hat cont ain a person’s nam e and/ or num ber ( a “ business card” ) . To get your m essages, ot her phones m ust have t ext m essage capabilit y.
