Data set-up process using DTR5000N menu system
How to get into Menu System from your PC using
Telnet
If you are connected to DTR5000N with a PC on a network, you need to
communicate with DTR5000N by using factory default IP. After installing the
LAN connection or direct connection using Ethernet cable, you can change
the IP address of DTR5000N into the IP that you want by using
“dtr_conn.exe” that manufacturer supplies as follows. For network
connection, please see Fig 2 or 3.
1. Your DTR5000N has a factory default local IP address (192.168.0.1).
2. After connecting your DTR5000N to your PC via LAN network or Ethernet
cable, run Telnet software “dtr_conn.exe” in DOS or UNIX environment
and get connected to the DTR5000N using the IP address of DTR5000N.

Edit Data Channel
Insert filter IP address that was assigned by the ISP.
In LAN connection,
- Standalone : One PC is connected to DTR5000N via LAN cable
Sub-net mask is not used.
- Network : Multi-users are connected to DTR5000N via LAN network.
Sub-net mask is used to filter IP group
.
Insert MAC address that was assigned by ISP.
Move to Network Interface menu
Insert local IP address of DTR5000N and Destination IP.
Destination IP is the IP address that DTR5000N sends
data to.
When you change IP address, DTR5000N
automatically reboots.
Select filter type either IP or MAC
At the Edit Data Channel List, enable the data channel
that you want by selecting ‘Enable’.
You are ready to receive
