ROVE Simple User Manual Your device allows you to easily connect to the Internet and to share your 1X/3G connection with others. This user guide describes how to set up your device and use the browser interface to: ●View the status of your device. ●View and change the settings of your device and the browser interface. It also describes your device (its various connectors and buttons).

Do not handle or operate the device while driving or operating a vehicle. Doing so may distract you from properly operating the vehicle. In some jurisdictions, operating communication devices while in control of a vehicle is a criminal offense.
Connecting Through USB Use the USB to Micro B cable to connect the device to your computer only when: You want to charge the device, but you don’t want to use the AC charger, or the AC charger is not available. To connect the device to your computer: 1. Insert the larger (USB) end of the USB to Micro B cable into the computer. 2. Insert the other (Micro B) end of the USB to Micro B cable into the USB connector on the side of the device.
Using the AC Charger with USB Port 1. Insert the smaller (Micro B) end of the USB to Micro B cable into the USB connector on the side of the device. 2. Insert the other end of the USB to Micro B cable into the AC charger. 3. Insert the AC charger into an electrical outlet. When charging, the LED shows and, it will be flashing until fully charged. Charging Through a Computer 1. Ensure the computer is turned on. 2. Insert the larger (USB) end of the USB to Micro B cable into the computer. 3.

Using the Power Button to Determine the Device State The power button on the device also indicates the device’s status, as following description. 1.
5. Internet Access State: the Internet access lamp will be on if the modem is set to auto connection mode. Otherwise, the lamp will be flashing. 6. System shutdown: both battery and signal strength lamps become red then all the lamps are off. 7. Power‐off State: all the lamps are off even if you press any button (if you press the power button and hold it for 3 seconds, the device will be turned on). All the lamps will be turned off for power saving purpose after 1 minute idle time.

Connecting to the Network 1. Ensure you are in the U.S.Cellular 1X or 3G coverage area (not roaming). 2. If you have a LAN connection, disconnect it. 3. Ensure your computer’s Wi‐Fi is turned on. Connect a PC to your device through Wi‐Fi. 5. Launch a web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, etc.) at the PC. 4. ‐ Enter http://192.168.1.1 and return. ‐ You will see a user registration page. ‐ Input user name (default: admin) and password (default: admin) to log into the management pages.
