1.Introduction of the Wireless Internet USB Modem 1.1 Introduction The Wireless internet USB Modem is based on the CDMA 1X/EVDO network wireless internet modem. It utilizes the USB interface and it can be easily inserted into a USB port on a computer. Through the CDMA 1X/EVDO mobile network, both text receipt and data services can be received at any time, from any location.* 1.
Notes for use on Airplanes Please turn off the wireless internet modem prior to takeoff. To prevent interference with the onboard communication system, in-flight use of the wireless internet modem is prohibited. Before takeoff, please use in accordance with safety regulations and as permitted by crew members. 1.3 Scope of Use The Wireless internet USB Modem supports the majority of modern computers. 1.
2.2 Appearance 2.3 Hardware Installation Plug the wireless internet modem into the computer: Plug the wireless internet modem into a USB port on the computer. The LED indicator on the wireless internet modem will initially turn red to note power. The LED will turn blue when connected to the network and will indicate the following status. Red: no service, modem is not connected to the network Steady blue: modem is ready for use, but it is not connected to the Internet.
Click “Next”. Please carefully read the terms of the agreement. If you agree, please select “I accept the terms of the license agreement”, then click “Next”.
Select the directory to install the software. “Change” can be selected to select a different location. Then, click “Next”. Select the Shortcut Folder and click “Next”.
If you are certain the installation information is correct, click “Next” to proceed with the installation of the software. After a moment, the following dialog boxes will appear and the hardware installation will begin.
Click “Complete” to complete the installation of the network modem application. The installer will automatically run the installed PC client. After installation completes, the “USB Modem” program group will be found from the “Start” menu “Programs” on the computer. Of which, there will be USB MODEM” and “Uninstall” programs available. A shortcut icon to the application software will also be found on the desktop. 2.

3. Functional Operation 3.1 Description of the Interface 3.1.1 Main Window Image of the main window of the wireless internet modem user interface: The interface is segmented into three sections. Corresponding functions may be executed from these sections. 1. Functional Button Section: A B C D E Each button is displayed to select different functions to perform corresponding actions. Indicates network signal strength (from 0 to 4 bars) 3.1.2 Minimize Icon Description When the minimize button on the desktop is clicked, the program is reduced to an icon on the system icon tray. Double-click this icon to restore the interface. 1. Icon Tray Description When the application is running, an icon for said application will appear on the icon tray 2.

Online time, length, and dataflow information can then be reviewed 3.3 Receive a Message The wireless internet modem supports the reception of normal and long- and short-text messages. Click the “Tools” then “Read SMS” button to access the text message interface. 3.
