Installation Turn off all the equipment before connection and read the appropriate operating instructions. Be sure to raise this unit when moving, and do not drag this unit. • Do not carry this unit by holding the subwoofer of the bottom of this unit. Notes on the speakers These speakers do not have magnetic shielding. Do not place them near TV, PC or other equipment easily influenced by magnetism.
Control reference guide This unit (front) 01 Standby/on switch ( ) • Press to switch the unit from on to standby mode or vice versa. In standby mode, the unit is still consuming a small amount of power. 02 Top cover • The top cover can slide to the both sides. • The magnet is built-in to keep the top cover closing. • Do not apply too much force to the top cover when sliding it. Doing so may cause malfunction. • Do not leave the top cover open for a prolonged period.

Network settings You can stream online music services or music files from your smartphone/tablet to this unit. To use these features, this system must join the same internet-connected network as the compatible device. This unit can be connected to a router using a LAN cable or built-in Wi-Fi ®. For a stable connection to the network, a wired LAN connection is recommended.
Wired LAN connection Wireless LAN connection ■ Preparation Disconnect the AC power supply cord. Disconnect the LAN cable. Place this unit as close to the wireless router as possible. Connect the AC power supply cord to this unit. ( 11) Note LAN cable (not supplied) Broadband router, etc. • The setting will be cancelled after the set time limit. In that case, try the setting again. • To cancel this setting in the middle, press [ ] or turn the unit to standby mode.
Network settings (Continued) Setting the network from the setup menu 1 Press [>SELECT<] to select “Chromecast built-in”. 2 Press [SETUP]. 3 Press [ ], [ ] repeatedly to select “Network” and then press [OK]. • When “Wi-Fi Menu” screen is displayed, press [OK]. 4 Press [ ], [ ] to select “On” and then press [OK]. (The wireless LAN function is enabled.) 5 Press [ ], [ ] to select “Wi-Fi Setup” and then press [OK]. • “Setting” is displayed.
Streaming music over the network This unit is compatible with Chromecast-enabled apps. For detailed information of Chromecastenabled apps, visit: g.co/cast/apps You can also stream music files from the device on your network to this unit by using the free app “Technics Audio Center”. Playing back CDs Lens 1 Press [ ] to turn this unit on. 2 Press [CD]. 3 Open the top cover with a sliding motion and then insert the CD. • The top cover can slide to the both sides. • Place the CD with its label facing up, and push the center of the CD until a clicking sound is heard. 4 Close the top cover with a sliding motion. • This unit cannot play back the CD while the top cover is open. 5 Press [ ]. ■ To eject the CD Open the top cover with a sliding motion. Eject the CD.
Listening to FM/AM Radio Storing FM/AM stations You can preset up to 30 channels for FM and 15 channels for AM. • A station previously stored is overwritten when another station is selected for the same channel by presetting. ■ To listen to a preset FM/AM channel Press [MENU]. Press [ ], [ ] repeatedly to select “Tuning Mode” and then press [OK]. Press [ ], [ press [OK]. ] to select “Preset” and then 1 Press [RADIO] repeatedly to select “FM”. Press [ ], [ ] or numeric buttons to select the channel.
Using Bluetooth® Bluetooth® device Pairing a Bluetooth® device • Turn on the Bluetooth feature of the device and place the device near this unit. • If a Bluetooth® device is already connected, disconnect it. ® 1 Press [ -PAIRING]. • When “Pairing” is indicated on the display, proceed to step 5. 2 Press [MENU]. 3 Press [ ], [ ] repeatedly to select Listening to music stored on a Bluetooth® device 1 Press [ -PAIRING]. • “Ready” or “Pairing” is indicated on the display.

Pour utiliser ces fonctionnalités, ce système doit rejoindre le même réseau connecté à Internet que l’appareil compatible. Cette unité peut être connectée à un routeur à l’aide d’un câble réseau ou du Wi-Fi® intégré. Pour obtenir une connexion au réseau stable, une connexion LAN filaire est préférable.

Utilisation de Bluetooth® Nota • Vous pouvez également passer en mode de couplage en maintenant enfoncée la touche [ -PAIRING] lorsque la source d’entrée est “Bluetooth”. • Sur demande du mot de passe, entrer “0000”. • Il est possible d’enregistrer jusqu’à 8 dispositifs auprès de cet appareil. Si un 9e dispositif est couplé, il remplacera le dispositif n’ayant pas été utilisé depuis le plus longtemps.
