Troubleshooting Tips

Wireless Body Scale
Quick Start Sheet
Getting Started
Install the four (4) AAA batteries on back of scale (batteries included). To change display
units (kg, lbs, st) press tab on backside of scale.
Download the Ideal Protein app to your mobile device.
Open the IP app (Make sure on your smartphone settings, bluetooth is turned on.)
Stand on scale barefoot and tap Quick Add , then choose Your Weight.
Remain on the app’s “Scanning” screen and stay still on your scale until measurements are displayed.
The scale isn’t working
Replace batteries in the scale.
Scale needs to be on a flat, even,
hard surface.
Make sure you are barefoot when
weighing-in; the scale surface needs
to be dry and clean. Scale platform
can be slippery when wet.
Remain standing still on your scale
and allow the IP App to fully sync to
your scale. You will see a progress
indicator in the scale sync pop-up
in the IP App as it completes your
measurements. (This may take up
to 15 seconds.)
My measurements do not appear on the IP app
Go to your phone Settings and confirm Bluetooth is on.
Try disconnecting your phone from other Bluetooth devices.
Make sure your profile settings in the IP app are correct (particularly
height, age and gender.) These settings impact your body fat %, BMI, etc.
Close the IP app and then open it again.
With the IP App open, from the Home Screen, tap the Quick Add (the
green circle with the + sign at the bottom) and then select “Your Weight”
THEN step on your scale barefoot.
If you previously used another version of the IP Scale, with the IP App
open, tap on “Settings” in the bottom navigation followed by “My Profile,
Preferences & Goals”. Tap on “PREFERENCES” from the top menu and
set your Scale Preference to the IP Scale model you are attempting to
use. When you have made your selection, remember to tap “SAVE” to
update your selection.
That’s it, your measurements are now tracked!
