Installing the Battery 1. Tu rn off th e rad io an d h old it with th e back of th e rad io facin g u p ward 2. In sert th e top ed ge of th e battery in to th e area at th e top of th e rad io between th e rad io’s case an d ch assis. Make su re th e th ree tabs on th e rad io ch assis align with th e th ree slots u n d er th e top ed ge of th e battery. 3. Rotate th e battery toward th e rad io, an d sq u eeze th e battery an d rad io togeth er u n til th e battery “clicks” in p lace.
Universal Connect or Cover ! When the universal connector is not in use, keep it covered with the universal connector cover. Caution Installing the Universal Connector Cover 1.
