PREPARATION: Remove all packaging materials before giving to a child. Follow Battery Instructions below to install batteries before playing.
BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS: Adult Assistance Required.
CAR: Requires 4 AA alkaline batteries or one 4.8V rechargeable battery pack. Always turn power off before installing batteries. Ask an adult to help open the battery cover using a Phillips screwdriver (not included).
1. Using 4 AA Alkaline Batteries:
After opening the battery cover, install 4 new AA alkaline batteries (not included) as shown (Dia A). Tip: Gently lift the battery case to check that the connectors are properly attached. Replace battery cover and screw.
Set the Car’s function selector to ON.
2. Using 4.8V Rechargeable Battery Pack:
After opening the battery cover, gently lift the AA battery case to reveal the connectors (Dia. B). Press on the Car’s connector clip, pull to detach the AA battery case. Plug in the rechargeable battery pack connector
and store in the bottom compartment. Place battery pack above it. Replace battery cover and screw. Set the Car’s function selector to ON.
Note: The Car is designed to use either 4 AA alkaline batteries or one 4.8V rechargeable battery pack. Be sure the selected battery case or battery pack is attached to the Car‘s connector.
RADIO CONTROL: Requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Ask an adult to open the battery cover using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) and install 2 new AAA alkaline batteries (not included) as
shown (Dia. C). Replace battery cover and screw.
BATTERY CAUTION: Always check batteries in case of leakage. Be sure to insert batteries correctly and follow the toy and battery manufacturers’ instructions. Never mix old batteries with new batteries,
or mix carbon-zinc, alkaline or nickel-cadmium batteries. Do not mix different brands of batteries. Do not attempt to recharge batteries which are not rechargeable. Do not short-circuit the battery contacts.
Always remove batteries from the product when not in use or discharged. Dispose of batteries safely. Caution: Batteries inside this product may explode or leak when in contact with fire. Rechargeable batteries
are only to be charged under adult supervision. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charged.
PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS:
IMPORTANT - The Car needs to pair (link) with the radio control BEFORE playing.
1. Set the Car’s function selector to ON. Place it on a flat & smooth surface. Aim the radio control at the Car for a few seconds for linkage.
2. Pairing is for one set of Car and radio control only.
3. If the toy has been idle for a while, it will automatically shut off to save battery life. Set the Function Selector on the Car to OFF then to ON to reactivate the toy.
HELPFUL HINTS:
1. Only one set of car & radio control can be linked at a time. Ensure power is off on other radio control cars.
2. For best results, aim the radio control in the direction of the toy.
3. When playing indoor, operate the toy on a smooth, even floor in a spacious area clear of delicate or breakable objects. Do NOT operate the toy near stairs as it may fall and incur damage.
4. The toy will move around when activated. Avoid playing with the toy on a desk and keep an eye on it to ensure it does not bump into other objects.
5. If the toy steers to the side while moving forward, realign the wheels by adjusting the steering lever on the bottom of the toy to the opposite direction of the turn.
6. Do not attempt to manually turn or apply force on the back wheels while in motion. This may damage the mechanisms.
7. If the toy malfunctions for no reason, try resetting the Function Selector to OFF, then to ON.
8. If the toy is not responding properly or the motion starts to slow down, try reinstalling or replacing all batteries with new ones.
9. Do NOT operate the toy on public roads or in public places.
10. Do NOT operate the toy in wet areas. Do NOT immerse the toy or radio control in water.
11. Do not modify or change any component inside the toy or radio control.
12. Keep tires clean and free of debris. Clean them with a dry, clean cloth only.
13. Keep tires away from fingers, face, hair and loose clothing. Do not attempt to stop the tires when they are in motion.
14. Turn power off when the toy is not in use. Remove all batteries from the toy and radio control before storing the toy for a long period of time.
