For professional installation only: Read and review all instructions, illustrations, and warnings before replacing existing
sensor with new QWIK-SENSOR
TM
. Follow manufacturer recommended service and replacement procedures before
installing. Improper installation may cause the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to malfunction.
REMOVAL: The tire and wheel assembly removal must be followed as outlined in the vehicle manufacturer’s
Service Manual.
CAUTION: If the wheel assembly \TPMS Sensor used on one vehicle is transferred to another vehicle, the
TPMS system on the second vehicle may become inoperative. This can create an unsafe condition in which the
second vehicle is not protected by the TPMS system.
WARNING: The state of California is different in the laws for

INSTALLATION: Qwik sensor should be programmed prior to
installation with a TPMS programming tool. For a listing of compatible
tools please visit www.qwiksensor.com
NOTE: If there is a need to program the sensor after installation, the tire
pressure must be below 1 PSI.
CAUTION: Do not re- use grommet, valve core, valve stem, nut or cap.
Always use a new sensor service kit.
WARNING: After tire rotation, replacement, pressure adjustment, or after
wheel balancing TPMS system will need to be reset.
Part assembly sequence as shown in Figure 1.
1) I nspect and clean the valve stem hole of any debris, dirt, or
corrosion to ensure the surface is clean and smooth.
2) Insert the valve portion of the QWIK-SENSOR
TM
into the valve
stem hole until contact is made between the seal and the wheel.
3) When the valve stem is completely inserted in the valve stem
hole, maintain contact between the QWIK-SENSOR™ and the
wheel. Manually tighten the hex nut on the metal valve stem until
it is snug.
4) While maintaining the QWIK-SENSOR
TM
in position, engage the
socket on the hex nut and tighten to the specified torque value for
the application.
5) T he sensor is correctly mounted according to the following
criteria when:
• the seal is pressed against the outer surface of the wheel when
inserted into the valve stem hole.
• the QWIK-SENSOR
TM
housing is positioned against the wheel
drop-well and contacting in at least one point.
• the QWIK-SENSOR
TM
housing does not exceed the hump height
of the wheel.
The tire and wheel assembly installation must be followed as outlined
in the vehicle manufacturer's Service Manual.
Part assembly sequence as shown in Figure 2.
1) I nspect and clean the valve stem hole of any debris, dirt, or
corrosion to ensure the surface is clean and smooth.
2) Apply a small amount of tire lubricant to the valve stem taking
care not to block the sensor’s pressure port.
3) Using a rubber snap-in valve puller, pull the sensor until it snaps
into place.
