YES, UL developed the special designation “PCS” for Type NM cables to denote that the required 30 mil jacket is utilized over the 600 volt rated control/signal conductors. 2. Are there any special requirements for separation of conductors, splices or terminations? • NEC Section 725.136 rules need to be followed for separation between power and communication/signal conductors.
