で深くかぶせた後、鍔を持ち、止め輪を回して締め付けてから使用して
ください。
 マイクホルダー
マイクロホンスタンド（別売り）にマイクを取り付けるときなどに使いま
す。角度調整部のネジがゆるんだときには、コインなどで締め付けてくだ
さい。
 マイクケーブル
本機の出力端子とカムコーダーなどの入力端子を接続します（ケーブル

 High sound quality design
Two microphone capsules housed in a die-cast frame forming an integrated
structure with high-rigidity design for high sound quality.
 Switchable sound pickup modes
Stereo mode:
For capturing natural sound quality with excellent localization
using the MS (Mid-Side) system.

For capturing highly directional sound within a narrow

 LOW CUT switch which cuts unnecessary low-frequency noise
The low cut filter reduces the noise occurring due to wind or vibration.

Switches the sound pickup mode.
ST: Stereo mode
MONO: Monaural (unidirectional) mode, audio is output from the L
channel only, and the STEREO indicator
 turns off.
Notes
 If power to the R channel is cut while the ST/MONO switch is set to
“ST,” the microphone changes to monaural mode.
 Noise may occur when the sound pickup mode (ST/MONO) is
switched.
 When the microphone is connected to a professional camcorder
equipped with a 5-pin XLR connector, monaural mode can be selected
through a menu operation on the camcorder when the ST/MONO
switch is set to ST.

 STEREO indicator
Lights up when the microphone is set to stereo mode. However, it turns
off when power from an external device to the R channel is cut.
 Output connector (XLR-5-12C type)
Outputs the sound captured by the microphone. It also supplies power to
the microphone from an external device.

-a Microphone spacer (molded type) / -b Microphone spacer (sheet
type)
Use when attaching the microphone to a camcorder using a microphone
holder (supplied with the camcorder or available separately).

Wind screen
Attach to the microphone
 to reduce wind or breathing noise. After
attaching to the microphone so that the bottom part of the wind screen
 covers the SONY logo on the microphone, hold the microphone by
the bottom part of the wind screen and fasten the ring  to secure the
wind screen to the microphone (see figure ).

Microphone holder
Use when attaching the microphone to a microphone stand (not
supplied). If the angle adjustment screw becomes loose, tighten it with a
coin or similar object.

Microphone cable
Use to connect the output connector
 of the microphone to the input
connector of a camcorder (cable length: 380 mm).
Attaching to a Camcorder (Fig. )
When attaching the microphone to a camcorder using a microphone holder
 (not supplied), attach the supplied microphone spacer (molded type) -a
to the microphone (). If vibration from the camcorder is of concern, use the
microphone spacer (sheet type)
-b instead. Remove the two release sheets
() and wrap the spacer around the microphone grip ().
Attach the microphone to the holder so that the “UP” mark on the
microphone faces upward to obtain correct directivity.
Power Supply
This microphone is powered only from an external supply. Use a microphone
cable
 to connect the output connector  of the microphone to the input
connector (XLR type 5-pin) of a camcorder. If you are using optional 5-pin
to 3-pin x2 conversion cable, you can connect to an external power supply
device, such as a Sony AC power supply or equivalent device, audio mixer or
camcorder that does not have an XLR type 5-pin input connector.
Notes
 Before connecting the microphone to a camcorder or other device, check
that it is equipped with a 40 V to 52 V microphone input connector.
 An unbalanced cable cannot be used with this microphone. Be sure to use a
balanced microphone cable.
Sound Pickup Mode
The sound pickup mode is determined by the following conditions, as shown
in the table below.
 By menu operation on a professional camcorder equipped with a 5-pin XLR
connector or by the status of the power supply to the L and R channels of the
microphone (when the microphone is connected to another type of device)
 By the setting of the ST/MONO switch 

Notes on Use
 Microphones are delicate. Do not drop, hit, or subject it to excessive shock.
 Avoid extended usage or storage in high humidity or temperatures above
60 °C (140 °F).
 If acoustic feedback occurs during use (a howling sound is heard from the
speakers), point the microphone away from the speakers or increase the
distance between the microphone and the speakers.

マイクロホンは敏感です。落としたり、たたいたり、強いショックを与えたり
しないようにしてください。

高温多湿、特に気温が

てください。

使用中、「ピー」という音（ハウリング）が発生することがあります。これは、ス
ピーカーから出る音をマイクロホンが拾ってしまうために起こります。ハウ
リングを防ぐには、マイクロホンとスピーカーを向き合わないようにし、その
距離をできるだけ離してください。

Remarques
 Si l’alimentation du canal R est coupée alors que le commutateur ST/
MONO se trouve sur « ST », le microphone passe en mode monaural.
 Du bruit peut se faire entendre lors de la commutation du mode de
prise de son (ST/MONO).
 Lorsque vous connectez le microphone à un caméscope professionnel
équipé d’un connecteur XLR à 5 broches, vous pouvez sélectionner le
mode monaural via le menu du caméscope lorsque le commutateur ST/
MONO est réglé sur ST.

 Indicateur STEREO
S’allume lorsque le microphone est réglé sur le mode stéréo. Cependant,
il s’éteint lorsque l’alimentation d’un dispositif externe sur le canal R est
coupée.
 Connecteur de sortie (type XLR-5-12C)
Émet le son capturé par le microphone. Fournit également l’alimentation
au microphone depuis un dispositif externe.

Utilisez-la lorsque vous fixez le microphone sur un caméscope à l’aide
d’un support de microphone (fourni avec le caméscope ou disponible
séparément).
 Bonnette anti-vent
Fixez-la au microphone
 pour réduire le bruit du vent ou de la
respiration. Après avoir fixé le microphone de sorte que le dessous de la
bonnette anti-vent  couvre le logo SONY du microphone, empoignez
le microphone par le dessous de la bonnette anti-vent et serrez la bague
 pour fixer la bonnette anti-vent au microphone (voir l’illustration
).
 Support de microphone
Utilisez-le lorsque vous fixez le microphone sur un pied (non fourni). Si
la vis de réglage de l’angle se desserre, resserrez-la à l’aide d’une pièce ou
d’un objet similaire.
 Câble de microphone
Utilisez-le pour brancher le connecteur de sortie
 du microphone au
connecteur d’entrée d’un caméscope (longueur du câble : 380 mm).
Fixation sur un caméscope (fig. )
Pour fixer le microphone sur un caméscope à l’aide d’un support de
microphone
 (non fourni), fixez la bague d’adaptation fournie (type moulé)
-a au microphone (). Si les vibrations du caméscope sont gênantes,
utilisez plutôt la bague d’adaptation du microphone (type feuille)
-b. Retirez
les deux feuilles détachables () et placez la bague d’adaptation sur la poignée
du microphone ().
Fixez le microphone au support de sorte que le repère « UP » du
microphone soit orienté vers le haut pour obtenir la bonne directivité.
Alimentation
Ce microphone n’est alimenté que par une alimentation externe. Utilisez
un câble de microphone
 pour brancher le connecteur de sortie  du
microphone au connecteur d’entrée (type XLR 5 broches) d’un caméscope. Si
vous utilisez un câble de conversion x2 de 5 broches à 3 broches en option,
vous pouvez vous connecter à un dispositif d’alimentation externe, par
exemple une source d’alimentation secteur Sony ou un dispositif équivalent,
un mixeur audio ou un caméscope ne disposant pas d’un connecteur d’entrée
type XLR à 5 broches.
Remarques
 Avant de connecter le microphone à un caméscope ou un autre appareil,
vérifiez qu’il dispose d’un connecteur d’entrée de microphone de 40 V à 52 V.
 Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser de câble asymétrique avec ce microphone.
Veillez à utiliser un câble de microphone symétrique.
Mode de prise de son
Le mode de prise de son est déterminé par les conditions suivantes, comme
indiqué dans le tableau ci-dessous.
 Avec le menu d’un caméscope professionnel équipé d’un connecteur XLR à
5 broches ou l’état de l’alimentation des canaux L et R du microphone

Remarques à propos de l’utilisation
 Les microphones sont fragiles. Ne les laissez pas tomber, se cogner ou subir
de forts impacts.
 Évitez de les utiliser ou de les stocker trop longtemps dans des
environnements où l’humidité est élevée ou les températures dépassent 60 °C
(140 °F).
 En cas de rétroaction acoustique pendant l’utilisation (les haut-parleurs
émettent un sifflement), dirigez le microphone dans la direction opposée aux
haut-parleurs ou éloignez-le de ces derniers.

Hinweise

 Beim Umschalten des Tonaufnahmemodus (ST/MONO) können
Störgeräusche auftreten.
 Wenn das Mikrofon an einen professionellen Camcorder mit
5-poligem XLR-Steckverbinder angeschlossen ist, kann der
Monomodus per Menübedienung am Camcorder ausgewählt werden,
wenn der ST/MONO-Schalter in Stellung ST ist.

 Anzeige STEREO
Leuchtet auf, wenn das Mikrofon in den Stereomodus gebracht wird. Die
Anzeige erlischt jedoch, wenn die über ein externes Gerät erfolgende
Stromversorgung des Kanals R unterbrochen wird.
 Ausgangsanschluss (Typ XLR-5-12C)
Gibt den vom Mikrofon erfassten Ton aus. Dient außerdem zur
Stromversorgung des Mikrofons über ein externes Gerät.

 Windschutz
Am Mikrofon
 anbringen, um Wind- oder Atemgeräusche zu
reduzieren. Bringen Sie den Windschutz so am Mikrofon an, dass der
untere Teil des Windschutzes  das SONY-Logo am Mikrofon verdeckt.
Halten Sie dann das Mikrofon am unteren Teil des Windschutzes fest
und befestigen den Ring , um den Windschutz am Mikrofon zu
sichern (siehe Abbildung ).
 Mikrofonhalter
Zum Anbringen des Mikrofons an einem Mikrofonständer (nicht
mitgeliefert). Wenn die Winkeleinstellschraube locker geworden ist, mit
einer Münze o. ä. festziehen.
 Mikrofonkabel
Dient zum Verbinden des Ausgangsanschlusses
 des Mikrofons mit
dem Eingangsanschluss eines Camcorders (Kabellänge: 380 mm).
Anbringen an einem Camcorder (Abb. )
Beim Anbringen des Mikrofons an einem Camcorder mithilfe eines
Mikrofonhalters
 (nicht mitgeliefert) bringen Sie das mitgelieferte
Mikrofon-Distanzstück (Formstück)
-a an das Mikrofon () an. Sollte die
Gefahr bestehen, dass der Camcorder Vibrationen ausgesetzt wird, verwenden
Sie stattdessen das Mikrofon-Distanzstück (flach)
-b. Entfernen Sie die
zwei Trennblätter () und wickeln Sie das Distanzstück (flach) um den
Mikrofongriff ().
Bringen Sie das Mikrofon danach so am Halter an, dass die Markierung
„UP“ nach oben weist, um die vorgesehene Richtwirkung zu erhalten.
Stromversorgung
Das Mikrofon kann nur von einer externen Stromquelle versorgt werden.
Verwenden Sie ein Mikrofonkabel
, um den Ausgangsanschluss  des
Mikrofons mit dem Eingangsanschluss (Typ XLR, 5-polig) eines Camcorders
zu verbinden. Wenn Sie ein optionales Wandlerkabel (5-polig auf 3-polig
x2) verwenden, können Sie eine Verbindung zu einer externen Stromquelle
wie beispielsweise ein AC-Netzteil von Sony oder ein gleichwertiges Gerät,
einem Audiomischpult oder einem Camcorder herstellen, die nicht über einen
Eingangsanschluss vom Typ XLR 5-polig verfügen.
Hinweise
 Bevor Sie das Mikrofon mit einem Camcorder oder einem anderen Gerät
verbinden, prüfen Sie, ob dieses über einen Mikrofoneingangsanschluss mit
einer Versorgungsspannung von 40 V bis 52 V verfügt.
 Ein unsymmetrisches Kabel kann nicht mit diesem Mikrofon verwendet
werden. Verwenden Sie immer ein symmetrisches Mikrofonkabel.

Hinweise zur Verwendung
