Introduction HBM-30 Bluetooth™ Music Handsfree is a music player based on Memory Stick Duo technology with a portable headset solution based on Bluetooth wireless technology. See “Additional information” on page 19 before using your HBM-30. Types of Memory Stick Duo There are two types of Memory Stick Duo: – MagicGate Memory Stick Duo (with the logo) is equipped with MagicGate copyright protection technology. This is used for multimedia storage. The HBM-30 fully supports MagicGate Memory Stick Duo.
Getting started • • • • • • 8 Before you can use your HBM-30 Bluetooth Music Handsfree, you must first: Insert an AAA battery, see picture “1.” on page 4. Use a coin to open the battery door. Insert the Memory Stick Duo into the slot until it clicks into place. Connect the headphones, see picture “Overview” on page 7. Turn on the HBM-30. Press and hold until you hear the start-up sound or until the display shows SonyEricsson. (Press and hold again to turn off.) See picture “1.” on page 4.
Pairing You can connect your HBM-30 to your mobile phone or any device with Bluetooth wireless technology that supports the Headset or the Handsfree profile. Pairing the HBM-30 with a phone You pair the HBM-30 with the phone by adding it to a list of paired devices in the phone. Once you have paired your HBM-30 with the phone, you do not need to pair it again until you want to use it with another device. Resetting the HBM-30 HBM-30 can be reset to its factory settings. This also clears current pairing.
Play music You can play either ATRAC3 or MP3 music files with your HBM-30. To insert and remove the Memory Stick Duo 1. Insert the Memory Stick Duo into the slot. If the Memory Stick Duo is inserted correctly, the display shows Read ATRAC3 or Read MP3 according to current preferred type. 2. To remove the Memory Stick Duo, slightly push and release the Memory Stick Duo. See picture “1.” on page 4. To listen to music 1. Insert a Memory Stick Duo with music content into your HBM-30. 2.
Preferred music type ATRAC3 and MP3 files are stored differently on the Memory Stick Duo, therefore only one type can be handled at a time. Based on user preference, the HBM-30 starts in the selected type (ATRAC3 or MP3). If no files of the preferred type are found, but if files of the other type are detected, the HBM-30 automatically switches to the other type as the preferred type. Playback of ATRAC3 files is the default setting. 1. In playback mode, press MENU to enter the playback menu. 2.
Record music The HBM-30 supports recording from analog sound sources. Recordings are always made in ATRAC3 music type on MagicGate Memory Stick Duo. When you switch to recording standby mode, the preferred music type automatically switches to ATRAC3 type. Recording volume can be set before start of recording using or . During recording, and adjust the listening volume only. Note: Please do not remove the battery while HBM-30 is active. Your Memory Stick Duo contents might be corrupted.
To change quality level 1. While in recording standby mode, press MENU. 2. Scroll to Quality with , and press . Use or to scroll to Lo (low), Md (medium), or Hi (high). 3. Press to select or press MENU to go back to recording standby mode without saving. Selecting auto track mark In order to record successive tracks on the MagicGate Memory Stick Duo in one recording session, the HBM-30 supports auto track mark. After each music pause, a new track is automatically created on the Memory Stick Duo. 1. 2. 3. 4.
Handle phone calls Once you have paired the HBM-30 with your phone, you can make and receive calls using the HBM-30 as long as it is turned on and within range of the phone – up to 10 m (30 ft) outdoors or up to 5 m (15 ft) indoors with no solid objects in between. See picture “2.” on page 5. Note: Always make sure the Bluetooth operation mode in the phone is on when using the Bluetooth Music Handsfree.
Transferring the sound Depending on the type of phone, you can transfer the sound to the HBM-30 during a call. The HBM-30 has to be on, paired with the phone, and within range. To transfer the sound to the HBM-30 During a call, press and hold . The HBM-30 beeps until the sound has been transferred. Note: To transfer the sound from the HBM-30 to the phone, refer to the phone’s user documentation. Muting the microphone You can mute the microphone during a call.
Display messages Bad bit rate Hold MS Full No MS No track 16 • The HBM-30 does not support playback of MP3 files recorded at a higher bit rate than 192 kbps. Press to continue. • All buttons are locked except and . Press on the side of the HBM-30 to unlock the buttons. • You can erase tracks. Check that both ATRAC3 and MP3 tracks are deleted. See page 11. • No Memory Stick Duo is inserted when you try to use the music player. • Wait until the Read message has disappeared before using the music player.
Wrong MS • Recording requires a MagicGate Memory Stick Duo. Recording is not possible on a non-MagicGate Memory Stick Duo. • Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick Duo and wait a few seconds. If the error persists, the contents of your MagicGate Memory Stick Duo may have become corrupted. Reformat the Memory Stick Duo with your HBM-30, and with no other device. See To reformat the Memory Stick Duo. Voice dialling does not work • Check if Bluetooth operation mode is set to On in your phone.
Tracks seem to have disappeared • Try to change preferred music type (see page 11). • Check if your MP3 tracks are stored in the \MP3 directory. Other devices may store MP3 tracks in other directories. Cannot edit track title Only titles of ATRAC3 files can be edited. No track title visible • The track has no title that can be displayed. • Some track titles contain many space characters. Wait until the playtime reappears. Menu button does not work Stop playback or recording using then press MENU.

Aircraft Turn your HBM-30 OFF before boarding any aircraft. To prevent interference with communication systems, you must not use your HBM-30 while the plane is in the air. Blasting areas Turn off all your electronic devices when in a blasting area or in areas posted turn off two-way radio to avoid interfering with blasting operations. Construction crews often use remote control RF devices to set off explosives.

Einführung Die Bluetooth™ Freisprecheinrichtung HBM-30 mit MP3-Player ist ein Gerät zur Musikwiedergabe, das die Memory Stick DuoTechnologie mit einer portablen Freisprecheinrichtung kombiniert, die die Nahbereichsfunktechnik Bluetooth nutzt. Ändern der Wiedergabeeinstellungen Im Wiedergabemenü können Sie den bevorzugten Titeltyp für die Wiedergabe wählen, die Namen von Titeln bearbeiten, Titel löschen oder den Memory Stick Duo formatieren. Hinweis: Zum Öffnen des Wiedergabemenüs müssen Sie die Wiedergabe stoppen und dann die Menütaste drücken. Bevorzugter Musiktyp ATRAC3- und MP3-Dateien werden unterschiedlich im Memory Stick Duo gespeichert. Deshalb kann immer nur einer dieser Typen genutzt werden.

Verbinden Sie das Kabel mit dem Aufnahme-Eingang am HBM-30 (siehe Abbildung „Übersicht“ auf Seite 24). Drücken und halten Sie REC, um den AufnahmePausemodus zu aktivieren. Auf dem Display wird die verbliebene Aufnahmezeit (Kapazität) des MagicGate Memory Stick Duo angezeigt. Drücken Sie oder , um die Aufnahmelautstärke einzustellen.
Automatische Titelmarkierung Damit in einer Aufnahmesitzung mehrere Titel auf dem MagicGate Memory Stick Duo aufgezeichnet werden können, unterstützt der HBM-30 die automatische Titelmarkierung. Nach jeder Musikpause wird automatisch ein neuer Titel auf dem Memory Stick Duo erstellt. 1. 2. 3. 4. So wählen Sie die automatische Titelmarkierung: Drücken Sie im Aufnahme-Pausemodus MENU. Blättern Sie mit zu Auttrmk. Drücken Sie dann . Verwenden Sie oder , um zu On oder Off zu blättern.
Telefonanrufe Sobald das HBM-30 mit dem Telefon gekoppelt ist, können Sie Anrufe über das HBM-30 tätigen und annehmen. Voraussetzung ist, dass das HBM-30 eingeschaltet ist und sich innerhalb der Reichweite des Telefons befindet. Die Reichweite beträgt außerhalb von Gebäuden maximal 10 m und in Gebäuden maximal 5 m, wenn sich keine massiven Objekte im Übertragungsweg befinden. Beachten Sie die Abbildung „2.“ auf Seite 5.
So nehmen Sie einen zweiten Anruf an: Um einen zweiten Anruf anzunehmen und beide Anrufe zu verwalten, müssen Sie die Tasten des Telefons verwenden. Auch in diesem Fall können Sie das HBM-30 zum Sprechen und Hören nutzen. In der Anleitung zum Telefon wird beschrieben, wie Sie mehrere Anrufe gleichzeitig verwalten. So weisen Sie einen Anruf ab: Drücken Sie . Das HBM-30 setzt die Wiedergabe fort. Übertragen des Tons In Abhängigkeit vom Telefon können Sie den Ton während eines Anrufs zum HBM-30 umlegen.
Fehlerbehebung Keine Tonübertragung zwischen dem HBM-30 und dem Telefon Voraussetzungen: • Das Telefon muss mit dem HBM-30 gekoppelt sein. • Das Telefon muss sich in Reichweite des HBM-30 befinden. Zwischen dem HBM-30 und dem Telefon dürfen sich keine festen Objekte befinden (beispielsweise Wände oder Möbel). Beachten Sie die Abbildung „2.“ auf Seite 5. • Das Telefon muss das Profil Headset oder Handsfree unterstützen. • Im Telefon muss für Betriebsmodus On gewählt sein.
MS Full No MS No track • Sie können Titel löschen. ATRAC3- und MP3-Titel können gelöscht werden. Unsupported 36 Das HBM-30 hat einen Titel eines nicht unterstützten Typs erkannt. Das HBM-30 unterstützt die Wiedergabe folgender Dateien nicht: ATRAC-X, Dateien mit Zugriffsschutz, MP3Dateien mit Bitraten über 192 kb/ s sowie Dateien, die auf anderen Codierungsalgorithmen als Fraunhofer oder Lame 3.93 oder höher basieren. Stoppt das HBM-30, können Sie die Wiedergabe durch Drücken von fortsetzen. Nehmen Sie den Titel mit HBM-30 und Aufnahmekabel auf.
Sprachwahl funktioniert nicht • Prüfen Sie, ob der Bluetooth Betriebsmodus des Telefons On ist. • Prüfen Sie, ob das HBM-30 mit dem Telefon gekoppelt ist. • Prüfen Sie, ob das Telefon die Sprachwahl unterstützt. Memory Stick Duo • Das HBM-30 unterstützt den MagicGate Memory Stick Duo für Wiedergabe und Aufnahme. • Das HBM-30 unterstützt für den Memory Stick Duo nur die Wiedergabe von MP3-Dateien.
Die Taste REC funktioniert nicht Um versehentliche Aufnahmen zu verhindern, muss die Taste REC einige Sekunden gedrückt werden. Halten Sie REC länger gedrückt. Die Taste „Menu“ funktioniert nicht Beenden Sie die Aufnahme oder Wiedergabe mit . Drücken Sie dann MENU.

Informationen zu Batterien und Akkus Das HBM-30 unterstützt Batterien und Akkus des Typs AAA. Die Kapazität der Batterien bzw. Akkus ist vom Typ und von der Marke abhängig. Ein neuer bzw. seit längerer Zeit nicht benutzter Akkus kann eine geringere Kapazität aufweisen. Setzen Sie den Akku keinen extremen Temperaturen aus (niemals über +55 °C). Maximale Akkuleistung erzielen Sie bei Zimmertemperatur. Wenn der Akku bei niedrigen Temperaturen eingesetzt wird, verringert sich die Akkuleistung.

Introducción El Reproductor de música manos libres Bluetooth™ HBM-30 es un reproductor de música basado en tecnología Memory Stick Duo con un conjunto de auriculares portátil basado en tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth. Consulte “Información adicional” en la página 59 antes de utilizar el HBM-30. Tipos de Memory Stick Duo Existen dos tipos de Memory Stick Duo: – MagicGate Memory Stick Duo (con el logotipo ) viene equipado con la tecnología de protección por copyright de MagicGate.
Primeros pasos • • • • • Antes de utilizar el Reproductor de música manos libres Bluetooth HBM-30, debe realizar lo siguiente: Introduzca una batería AAA como se muestra en la figura “1.” en la página 4. Cuando cambia al modo de espera de grabación, el tipo preferido de música cambia de forma automática al tipo ATRAC3. El volumen de grabación puede establecerse antes de comenzar la grabación mediante o . Durante la grabación, y sólo ajustan el volumen de escucha. Nota: No extraiga la batería mientras el HBM-30 se encuentra activo.
Selección de una marca de pista automática Para grabar varias pistas en MagicGate Memory Stick Duo en una sesión de grabación, el HBM-30 admite marca de pista automática. Después de cada pausa musical, se crea de forma automática una nueva pista en Memory Stick Duo. Modificación de los ajustes de grabación Puede seleccionar el nivel de la calidad de la grabación. El nivel máximo de calidad se aproxima a la calidad de los CD, pero necesita más capacidad de almacenamiento.
Almacenamiento de música Puede copiar pistas de MP3 a Memory Stick Duo y desde éste, mediante un ordenador equipado con Memory Stick o un lector de Memory Stick Duo. Utilice el adaptador Memory Stick para sacar el máximo provecho de Memory Stick Duo con los lectores Memory Stick. Para reproducir ficheros MP3 desde Memory Stick Duo, dichos ficheros deben estar almacenados en un directorio dedicado denominado “\MP3”. Nota: No debe cambiar el contenido de ningún directorio excepto de “\MP3”.
Realización y recepción de llamadas Las funciones del teléfono siguen disponibles cuando el HBM-30 se encuentra reproduciendo música. Puede realizar y contestar llamadas mediante los botones del HBM-30. Para realizar una llamada utilizando la marcación por voz: 1. Asegúrese de que el teléfono y el HBM-30 están encendidos y dentro del alcance el uno del otro. Mantenga pulsado . 2. Después del pitido, marque por voz como lo haría normalmente.
