The CIC WL Fusion 2 radio model is a low power, short range, inductive radio transceiver working at 3.84 MHz. It can be seen below:
CIC WL Fusion 2 - Typical Radio Model Assembly
The most important parts of the module are an amplifier (containing a Digital-Signal-Processor (DSP), a radio Front-End (FE), memory and smaller components), a
battery and a coil antenna, all mounted on a plastic faceplate. The microphone is also mounted on the faceplate and externally to it there is normally also an audio
receiver/speaker and some optional push buttons, but they are not part of the radio model. The radio model is intended to be installed in Sonic and affiliated wireless
hearing aid devices of CIC WL (Completely-In-the Canal, with Wireless option) and IIC WL (Invisible-In-the Canal, with Wireless option) wearing styles.
