FCC and SAR Statements
FCC STATEMENT:
The user is cautioned that changes or modifications not expressly approved by
Sirius XM Radio Inc. can void the user’s authority to operate this device.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference
that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if
not installed and used in accordance with the installation instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined
by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna of the affected receiver.
• Increase the separation between the SiriusXM equipment and the affected receiver.
• Connect the SiriusXM equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that
to which the affected receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
WARNING! The FCC and FAA have not certified this Satellite Radio Receiver for
use in any aircraft (neither portable nor permanent installation). Therefore, Sirius
XM Radio Inc. cannot support this type of application or installation.
SAR STATEMENT: Exposure to Radio Frequency Energy (SAR)
To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines when you carry this device
on your body, use only belt clips, holsters or similar accessories that have no metallic
component in the assembly. Use of other non-approved accessories might violate FCC
RF exposure guidelines. This equipment has been evaluated as a body worn device
with 0 cm separation and complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an
uncontrolled environment. In order to comply with FCC RF exposure safety guidelines,
the antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not transmit simultaneously with any
other antenna or transmitter, except in accordance with FCC multi-transmitter product
procedures. The user of this device should ensure that the operation of this device is in
compliance with these provisions.
