MARTIAN WATCH OVERVIEW Congratulations on your purchase of the MARTIAN WATCH! The MARTIAN WATCH provides you with connectivity to your cell phone via Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing you to: • • • • • • Place and answer calls, Send text messages (“speech-to-text” via voice command) Receive text messages (OLED display and/or“text-to-speech” played through the Watch), Initiate voice commands to set calendar events and reminders, and search for information, Be notified of incoming calls, texts, and ca
• • To use the Voice Command access feature on your MARTIAN WATCH, you must have a compatible Voice Command feature on your mobile device. o Voice Command functions for Android are dependent upon your device. If your device came with an integrated Voice Command app and it works with a Bluetooth headset, it will work with MARTIAN. Coming soon: If you don’t have integrated Voice Command, most Androids will work with Martian via the ___ app.
GETTING STARTED Kit contents Before you start using your MARTIAN WATCH, make sure the following items are in the box: • • MARTIAN WATCH (A) Micro-USB charging cable (B) A B Charging The charging cable can be plugged into your computer’s USB port or a power outlet (wall adapter sold separately). A solid red light will appear when the Watch is receiving power. Charge your MARTIAN WATCH until the light changes to green (approximately 2 hours).

MARTIAN STATUS BAR BATTERY INFORMATION Pairing Your MARTIAN WATCH After you have fully charged the battery, your MARTIAN has to be paired with your phone before you can use it.

If the codes don’t match, tap “cancel” and try again. 6. If you are using iOS 6 and wish to receive text messages on your MARTIAN: After pairing is completed, wait 5 seconds and then tap the > button to the right of “MARTIAN WATCH.” Switch “Show Notifications” to “On”.
If you choose “Always allow”, the Watch automatically reconnects to the phone each time both devices are within range. “Always allow” is the preferred setting. When you are out of range, the Watch attempts to connect every 1 minute for the first 5 minutes, then every 3 minutes after that. If you are back in range, you can manually reconnect your Watch by pressing any button if you don’t wish to wait for it to automatically re-connect.

USING YOUR WATCH Accessing Voice Command A key feature of your Watch is its ability to access your phone’s Voice Command functions. The Watch essentially acts as a remote speaker and microphone.

This will cycle through the 3 options, which you will see on your OLED display. Simply stop when you reach the option you want to use: Low, Medium, or High. Outgoing: You can create outgoing texts and emails and set reminders from your MARTIAN WATCH if you have Voice Command on your cell phone. See your phone’s Voice Command instructions for the specific commands to use. For example, with iPhone 4S, you can command “Send Text to , ”. Enabling/Disabling A2DP for Music A2DP controls whether your music comes through your cell phone or Bluetooth® device (MARTIAN WATCH, headset, etc.).
MARTIAN WATCH turns off unprompted: • The battery level is too low. Charge your battery. • Pairing has failed. Follow instructions to turn on and pair your MARTIAN. Text message notification/display not working: • Visit the “technical specs” page for your phone on either your phone carrier’s or phone manufacturer’s web site to see if your phone has an MAP profile. Some phones do not support the MAP profile (for iPhone 4S, 4, and 3GS, the MAP profile will be available upon download of Apple iOS 6).
