SURFACE-MOUNT POCKET DOOR PULL
INSTALLATION
GETTING STARTED
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
We recommend consulting a professional if you are
unfamiliar with installing this type of hardware. Signature
Hardware accepts no liability for any damage to the
product, door, home, or for personal injury during
installation.
Observe all local building codes.
Unpack and inspect the product for shipping damage. If
any damage is found, contact our Customer Relations
team at 1-866-855-2284.
Ensure that you have gathered all the required
materials that are needed for the installation.
TOOLS AND MATERIALS:
1. Place the door pull at the desired installation
location. Tip: Standard height for hardware installation
is 36” from the bottom of the door.
2. Mark the location of the pull on the door using a
pencil. Outline the entire pull. Measure the portion of
the pull that will be recessed into the door, then mark
the location of the recessed portion on the door.
3. Use a chisel and hammer to remove wood from the
door at the marked installation location. If necessary,
use a jigsaw to create a hole for the recessed portion
of the pull.
4. Test fit the door pull at the prepared installation
location. If the pull does not sit properly, make adjust-
ments to the area using the chisel and/or jigsaw.
5. Once the area is prepared and the door pull fits
properly, attach the pull to the door. Use the provided
hardware to secure the pull to the door.
