ENGLISH EARPHONE COMPONENTS 1) Earphones. The earphone with the BLUE marking fits in the left ear, while the earphone with the RED marking fits in the right ear. When properly inserted, the Shure logo will appear right-side up on the outside of the earphone with the cable exit pointing forward and upward. 2) Sleeves. The earphones come with a pair of foam sleeves (installed), and a trial assortment of flex sleeves -small, medium, and large. 3) Adjustment Tube.
ENGLISH INSERTING THE EARPHONES 1. Insert the earphones using the following guidelines: • • • • • Note the difference between the right and left earphones: earphone with blue dot = left ear earphone with red dot = right ear When inserting the earphones, pull the ear upward and outward to straighten out the ear canal. Flex sleeves -Try the different sizes to determine the best fit for comfort and isolation.
ENGLISH LEVEL ATTENUATOR The PA235 provides you with volume control when you are connecting earphones to airplane seat outputs. It is intended only for airline use. It is not intended for use with other audio sources. To use the PA235: 1. Connect the 1/8-inch jack on the earphones to the female jack on the PA235. 2. Turn the PA235 volume down completely (toward –). 3. Connect the PA235 to the 1/8-inch audio output of the airplane seat. 4. Insert the earphones into your ears (see Inserting the Earphones) 5.
ENGLISH SLEEVE VARIETIES Foam Sleeves. These disposable foam sleeves compress to fit in the ear canal. Once in the ear, the foam expands to form a tight seal that holds the earphones firmly in place. Flex Sleeves. These reusable sleeves, made of a clear pliable plastic (PA756) or a soft, gray silicone rubber (PA758), fit comfortably in the ear and allow for ease of insertion. Choose from 3 sizes—small, medium or large—for the best fit.
ENGLISH CARE OF THE EARPHONES Follow these tips to prevent service costs and ear infections: • • • Avoid getting moisture in the nozzle, as this can adversely affect sound quality. Sweat entering the nozzle may cause the earphone to temporarily stop working. However, normal operation often returns after the earphone dries out. Avoid striking or dropping the earphones. Extreme shock can damage them. Use the supplied wax removal tool to clean the nozzles after each use (see figure 1).

FRANÇAIS TYPES D'INSERTS Inserts en mousse. Ces inserts jetables en mousse se compriment pour s'adapter au conduit auditif. DEUTSCH PEGELDÄMPFUNGSGLIED Das Modell PA235 ermöglicht Ihnen Lautstärkeregelung, wenn Sie Ohrhörer an die Ausgangsbuchse eines Flugzeugsitzes anschließen. DEUTSCH OHRPASSSTÜCKE Schaumstoffeinsätze. Diese Einmal-Einsätze lassen sich zum Einlegen in den Gehörgang zusammendrücken. Nachdem sie sich im Ohr befinden, dehnt sich der Schaumstoff aus, um eine dichte Versieglung zu bewirken, die die Ohrhörer sicher an Ort und Stelle halten. Flexible Muffen. Diese wiederverwendbaren Muffen aus durchsichtigem, biegsamem Kunststoff (PA756) bzw. weichem, grauem Silikongummi (PA758) sitzen bequem im Ohr und lassen sich leicht einlegen.
DEUTSCH PFLEGE DER OHRHÖRER Durch Beachtung folgender Hinweise lassen sich die Lebensdauer erhöhen und Ohrinfektionen verhindern. • • • Das Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit in die Schallöffnung vermeiden, weil dadurch die Tonqualität beeinträchtigt werden kann. Wenn Schweiß in die Schallöffnung eindringt, kann dies den vorübergehenden Ausfall der Ohrhörer bewirken. Allerdings wird die normale Funktionsfähigkeit oft nach dem Trocknen der Ohrhörer wiederhergestellt.

ESPAÑOL CUIDADO DE LOS AURICULARES Siga estos consejos para evitar gastos de reparación e infecciones del oído: • Evite la entrada de humedad en la punta ya que ésta perjudica la calidad del sonido.
