ARMING THE SECURITY SYSTEM
4 5
SECURITY FEATURES
HOW THE SECURITY SYSTEM PROTECTS YOUR VEHICLE?
When the security system is armed:
1. The visual status indicator flashes once per second to create a powerful
theft deterrent.
2. The engine will not start. The security system’s starter interrupt
electronically disables the starter motor.
3. All protected entry points and sensor inputs are continually monitored.
When the alarm is sounding the following events occur:
Visual status indicator begins flashing rapidly.
Siren sounds continuously.
Vehicles parking lights flash once per second.
The alarm will sound for 30 seconds and then shut down returning the
security system to a fully armed state, except when the violated entry
points is left open. In this case, the alarm will shut down for 10 seconds
and then resume sounding to attract more attention. The cycle repeats
until the violated entry points is closed.
SHOCK SENSOR
The shock sensor is designed to detect impacts to the body of the vehicle.
The force of impact ( or threshold ) required to trip the shock sensitivity
sensor is fully adjustable. It has an adjuster to set the desired level of
SECURITY FEATURES
sensitivity. When the system is armed, the shock sensor continually
monitors for impact to the body of the vehicle.
LITE-TOUCH
When the shock senses a non-threatening impact to the body of
vehicle, the siren will sound a short Lite-touch” Chirp to warn away a
potential intruder.
SHOCK SENSOR OVERRIDE
In some cases it may be desirable to override the shock sensor portion of
the security system temporarily.
Here’s how:
1. Press BUTTON I of the remote control transmitter.
2. Within three (3) seconds of the second arming chirps, press BUTTON I
again.
The system will respond with three (3) short siren chirps, indicating the
shock sensor is disabled.
To re-enter the shock sensor press BUTTON II on the remote control
transmitter, then press BUTTON I. The siren will chirps two (2) times and
parking lights will two (2) times.
ARMING THE SYSTEM WHEN A PROTECTED ENTRY POINT IS OPEN
When there is a protected entry point open at the time that the system
attempts to arm, the siren will chirp and the parking lights will flash one
time. The system will then wait, in a pre-armed state, until the protected
entry point is closed. While in pre-arm the status indicator will be on
red/green light flashing, indicating the system is waiting to arm. After the
entry point has been closed, the siren will chirp and the parking lights will
flash again, this time indicating that the system is armed.
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK
If all protected openings are closed when the ignition key is turned to the
on position, the security system will lock the doors. When the key is turned
