ARMING THE SECURITY SYSTEM
REMOTE CONTROL ARMING
1. Exit the vehicle and close all entry points.
2. Press “BUTTON I” on the remote control transmitter.
The siren will chirp two (2) times and the parking lights will flash two (2)
times indicating that the system is armed.
AUTOMATIC ARMING
If the system is not armed manually, the system will arm automatically when:
1. Ignition key is turned off.
2. Any door is opened then closed.
3. One minute has elapsed after all doors are closed.
IF the siren only chirps one time when arming the system, check
the status indicator.
If the status indicator is on RED/GREEN , a door, trunk or hatch is
open. The system will arm after

Press BUTTON II on the remote control transmitter. The siren will emit
one (1) chirp and the parking lights will flash one time to indicate the
system is disarmed. If the siren sounds four (4) short chirps, the alarm has
sounded while you were away. The system will rearm in one minute unless
the ignition is turned on or the system is placed in the valet mode.
REMOTE CONTROL PANIC ALARM
When activated, panic alarm will sound the siren continuously and flash
the parking lights for 30 seconds. To activate the panic alarm, Press
BUTTON I and II at the same time or press BUTTON IV on the remote
control transmitter. The panic alarm can be shut off by pressing BUTTTON
II on the remote control transmitter, then press BUTTON I to arm the
system again.
Valet mode prevents the security system from being armed. Only the lock

and unlock feature will function. Valet mode is useful when valet parking,
fuelling or servicing your vehicle.
To activate the valet mode:
1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
2. Toggle the valet switch ON “.
3. The status indicator will display a SOLID RED confirming that the
system is in the valet mode.
4. Turn the ignition OFF “.
To re-enter the normal operating mode:
1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
2. Toggle the valet switch OFF “.
3. The status indicator will be OFF “.
4. Turn the ignition “OFF “.
Note: Valet switch is located under dash, left panel beside the hood
release.
DISARMING THE SYSTEM WITHOUT THE REMOTE CONTROL
TRANSMITTER
1. If transmitter is lost or not functioning.
2. Open the driver’s door (alarm will begin sounding as soon as the door is
opened).
3. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
4. Toggle the valet switch to the ON position.
5. The security system is now disarmed.

VISUAL ALARM STATUS INDICATOR
The visual alarm status indicator is a high intensity red blinking light. The
status indicator, mounted in a location visible from the outside of the
vehicle, displays the security system’s status while creating a powerful
theft deterrent. The chart on this page shows the different status
indications and their meanings.
VALET MODE
If the status indicator is on SOLID RED , the system is in the valet mode.
