Introduction

The SHIFT3 wireless plug-in car handsfree Phone-handsfree Device-MS is specially

designed for in-car use.You can make and receive handsfree calls in your car, you can

connect the device to a compatible phone that supports Bluetooth wireless technology.

Read this user guide carefully before using the device.Also read the user guide for

your phone,which provides important safety and maintenance information.Keep the

device out of reach of small children.

Bluetooth wireless tecthnology

Bluetooth wireless tecthnology is set to revolutionize the personal connectivity by

providing freedom from wired connections-enabling links and connectivity between

mobile computers,mobile phones,portable handheld devices and other Bluetooth

enables devices with 10 meters(30 feet).

Getting started

Before using the handsfree,you must install it in the car,and pair it with a compatible phone.

The device contains the following parts shown at the start of this guide:tiltable cigarette lighter

plug(1),microphone(2),indicator light(3),volume turning(4),call key(5),and speaker(6).

Install the device

To function properly, the device must be connected to the cigarette lighter socket of the car,and

power can be susupplied by the 12 or 24 volt car battery.

Insert the device into the cigarette lighter socket.You can tilt the cigarette lighter plug to the

desired angle(up to 160 degrees around).ensure that the device is properly inserted in the cigarette

lighter socket ,and does not interfere with the normal operation of the car.

In some car models.the cigarette lighter socket is powered by car battery might be discharged even

when you remove the ignition key.In those cases, the car battery might be discharged even if the

device is not used.Contact the vehicle manufacturer for more information.

Switch on or off the device

To switch on,plug the device into the cigarette lighter socket.the indicator light turns on.

To switch off,pull the device out from the cigarette lighter socket, or if there is no operation, the

device will automatic turn off in two minuters.

Pairing

1,Swich on your phone.

2,Plug the device into the cigarette lighter socket.The device sounds a beep and the green indicator

will flash slowly.

3,Place the device and a Bluetooth-enablee mobile phone no more than 1 meter apart.

4,Press and hold the call key for 6 seconds until you hear a short beep.The green and red

indicators flashes green and red alternatively.It’s now ready for pairing.

5,Activate your Bluetooth feature on the phone,and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices.

6,Select “

Handsfree Speaker Phone” from the list of found devices.

7,Enter the pre-programmed passkey “0000” to pair and connect the device to your phone.If

the pairing is successful,the blue indicator will light and the device sounds a beep.In some phones you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. You can set your phone to connect with the device automatically when the device is swiched on. To disconnect the device from your phone,pull the device out from the cigarette lighter socket,or disconnect the device in the Bluetooth menu of the phone.
