Getting To Know Your New ZigBee Device
Maximum load for the ZigBee controlled outlet:
2.5A; 300W Incandescent or 100W Dimmable CFL/LED
• One ZigBee controlled AC outlet for standard incandescent lighting or dimmable CFL/LED lamps
• Remote ON/OFF/BRIGHTNESS control via the ZigBee controller
• Manual ON/OFF/BRIGHTNESS control with the front panel push button

• Energy Monitoring – The Smart Dimmer can report wattage (W) and kilowatt hours (kWh). Energy
usage is monitored through the ZigBee Controller Interface
• Over the Air updates – Once joined to your ZigBee network, the Smart Dimmer can transparently
receive updates through your ZigBee gateway
• LED Status Indicator – Indicates Smart Dimmer scanning during network pairing process

Load Sensing
When the connected light is turned OFF remotely (via
the hub/controller): You can turn the connected light back
ON manually at the lamp switch by turning the switch OFF,
then ON again.
NOTE: Load sensing DOES NOT work with lamps with built-in
USB chargers or AC pass-through outlets

NOTE: Actual performance of any CFL or LED will vary from bulb type to
bulb type and among dierent manufacturers. It is important to note that
only bulbs that have been designed as dimmable should be used on a
dimmer. To nd out if your bulb is dimmable, please check the package, the
bulb itself or call the bulb manufacturer directly.

1. From your ZigBee controller’s menu, choose to add lighting device and
enter Locating/Pairing mode as instructed by the controller
2. Plug the light or appliance you plan to control into the ZigBee
controlled outlet on the module as indicated by the ZigBee logo.
3. Plug the Wireless Smart Switch into an available outlet
NOTE: Plug directly into outlet. Do not use with extension cords
4. Network Pairing Begins Automatically: LED Status Indicator Blinks as
the device automatically scans for a compatible network controller to
pair with.
5. After the device is located and paired to the approved ZigBee
network, the LED status indicator will stop blinking and the device will
appear in your controller’s menu.
The Smart Switch is now paired to the ZigBee network and can be
controlled remotely.
Note: LED Status Indicator stops blinking if a timeout occurs:
Auto-Scan mode will eventually time out if the device has not
joined a ZigBee network. Press the front panel push-button on the
module to restart pairing process following timeout. Time out will
only occur twice, if the device is not paired before the second time
out, manual reset will be required before pairing. Please refer to
the following section for details.

Remove from ZigBee Network (Reset Smart Dimmer)
From the ZigBee Controller
From your controller or hub interface, choose to remove or delete the lighting device as
instructed. The Smart Dimmer will be removed from the ZigBee network following indication
from your controller. All conguration parameters will be reset after the Smart Dimmer is
removed from the network.
Manual Reset
1. Unplug the Smart Dimmer from the outlet.
2. Hold down the push button.
3. Plug the Smart Dimmer back into the outlet while holding down the push button.
4. Release button after the Smart Dimmer is plugged in.
NOTE: If the button is held down more than 4 seconds after being plugged in, the
Smart Dimmer will NOT reset and will remain with the current network. If the button is
held down more than 10 seconds repeat manual reset steps 1–4.
