Plug the power lead into a 230-240 V, 50 Hz, grounded AC (3-prong) outlet. ♦The ends of the handset lead are Caution! identical, so they will go into either socket. The print head in the fax applies heat to the imaging film to transfer ink to the paper. Follow the steps below to load or replace the film. The initial starter roll of imaging film included with your fax can print about 60 A4-size pages. 1 Press the release marked OPEN and open the print compartment cover.

Make sure that the two tabs on the gears fit properly into the slots in the ends of the spool. 5 • Do not yet remove the band which holds the spools together. Up to 200 sheets of A4 size paper from 60 to 75 g/m2 can be loaded in the tray. Less sheets can be loaded when using heavier paper. The maximum allowed paper weight is 90 g/m2. Note: When receiving or copying documents, do not allow more than 100 pages to collect in the received document outlet.

All calls, including faxes, must be answered by picking up the fax machine's handset or an extension phone connected to the same line. FAX mode: Select this mode when you only want to receive faxes on your line.
