Keep the 36285 base unit away from electrical equipment. Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is sometimes generated by these appliances, which can cause a degradation in cordless reception. Keep the handset in the base cradle so the battery will charged as much as possible. A weak handset battery can limit the range of cordless operation.

CALLER ID SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE SYMPTOM SOLUTION The Caller ID LCD panel is blank The Caller ID LCD panel does not show the caller’s name and/or phone number • Check the batteries for proper installation. • The Caller ID unit will not function until you have Caller ID service provided by your local phone company. Call your local phone company to have Caller ID installed on your telephone line. Check your telephone line connections. Make sure all connections are secure and connected.
