SPECIFICATIONS

The multi-channel infrared bodypack

receiver shall be suitable for narrow-band

applications and shall be available with

16 or 32 switchable channels.

The receiver shall provide a 3.5 mm mono

jack socket with on/off function for connec-

tion of headphones and shall be ﬁtted with

an energy-saving circuitry and a squelch.

The receiver shall be capable of receiving

on carrier frequencies ranging from 55 –

1,335 kHz. Impedance shall be 25 ohms.

Power shall be supplied by a 2.5 V recharge-

able battery pack with an operating time of

30 hours. Weight including the battery pack

shall be 100 grams (3.5 oz).

The battery pack shall be the Sennheiser

BA 1029, the 16-channel receiver shall be

the Sennheiser EKI 1029-PLL16 (0 - 15), the

32-channel receiver shall be the Sennheiser

EKI 1029-PLL32 (0 – 31).

The EKI 1029 is automatically switched on

when you connect a headphone plug to the head-

phone output socket. When the plug is removed,

the receiver is switched off again. If no IR signal is

received, energy-saving circuitry switches the receiver

– with headphones connected – to stand-by. If the

IR signal received is too weak for good reception, the

EKI 1029 mutes the audio output signal via the

built-in squelch.

The EKI 1029 can easily be attached to a shirt or

jacket pocket via the clip on the back – or the

con ference participant simply places the receiver on the table.

The BA 1029 accupack is inserted at the side of the receiver. For recharging

purposes, the entire receiver (with the accupack inserted) is inserted into a slot in

the L 1029 charging and transport case, versions are available for 20 or 75 receivers.

Since the receivers have an operating time of appx. 30 hrs, they do not require daily

recharging.
