UTP Video Balun
SLA40
SLA40 UTP Video Balun
The SLA40 allows the use of universal twisted pair (UTP) wiring for video transmission. Avoid costly and
bulky coaxial cable. The SLA40 connects directly to a twisted wire pair through two screw terminals on
the balun. The other end of the balun connects to the video source (camera) with the BNC connector.
Video can be run up to 1,000 feet without a power supply using UTP (a SLA40 is required at each end
of the UTP run). A 70 dB common mode rejection rating assures a stable, noiseless transmitted image.
A BNC to RCA adapter and a short BNC extension cable is included to facilitate connection to a variety
of camera and monitor /recorder requirements.
