Intent of the Model 135 Infant ID System The Model 135 Infant ID system is intended to augment existing policies and procedures regarding the protection of newborn infants in the Maternity and PostPartum setting. The Infant ID Cut-Band transmitter is designed to be placed on the infants ankle soon after birth. In the event a monitored infant is taken near an exit monitored by the Model 135 Infant ID protection system, the system should arm and or lock the door.
Ordering New or Replacement Transmitters Transmitters are purchased directly from Secure Care Products, Inc. Please Call 1-800-451-7917 when ordering transmitters. Transmitters and straps will typically be shipped two weeks after receipt of your order. Transmitter Straps and cradles are sold as a single unit for a single use and are sold in packages of one dozen. Transmitters are warranted per the attached Warranty Statement.
Infant ID Cut-Band Transmitter Part # A20290919 Description: The infant ID Cut-Band transmitter is an active radio frequency (RF) transmitter transmitting a unique ID code to help distinguish individual wearing the transmitter. The Infant ID Cut-Band transmitter transmits RF signals at 13.56 MHz when in the standard operating mode. In the event the strap is tampered with the transmitter should begin transmitting a 418 MHz emergency signal.
Placing the Transmitter into Use Refer to your existing policy for information regarding when to apply the transmitter to the infant. Obtain an Infant ID with Cut-Band transmitter (Part #A20290919) and an Infant ID cutBand Strap (Part # C42000913) Attach the Strap (with base) to the Transmitter. Be sure to attach the base in the proper orientation. Test the transmitter using the transmitter tester.
Programming ID Nurse Station Transmitter Information Enter Transmitter ID # *=OK ID#_ _ _ _ Once the transmitter ID has been entered into the keypad press "*" the display should change to this. Enter room # *=ok Room # _ _ _ _ Now enter the residents room # and press "*" when you are finished. The display should now read. 1=up 2=dn #=bk *=OK Name:_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Enter the residents name Press "*"when the letter is correct and use "*"" to enter a space between first and last name.
Removing the transmitter from the Infant Prior to removing the transmitter from the infant's ankle the transmitter must be placed into the "Sleep" mode. Failure to place the transmitter into the "Sleep" mode prior to removing the transmitter from the infant ankle should result in a Cut-band alarm. To Place the transmitter into the "Sleep" mode. Press the "On" button on the transmitter tester. Place the transmitter near the transmitter tester as shown in the picture.(see picture below.
