SECTION 1 IMPORTANT NOTICES PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL BEFORE BEGINNING THE INSTALLATION OF A SECURE CARE SYSTEM This installation manual is provided for reference by purchasers and installers of Secure Care Products, LLC (“Secure Care’s”) systems.

SECTION 2 Figure 2-1 SC-40 STAT ID 90° Cutband Transmitter POLICY AND PROCEDURES Figure 2-2 - Spool of Straps Intent of the Model SC - 40 STAT® ID System The Model SC-40 STAT ID Cutband Transmitter is designed to be placed on the infant’s ankle soon after birth. In the event the monitored infant is taken near an exit monitored by the Model SC-40 STAT ID System, the system will arm and/or lock the door.
SECTION 2 POLICY AND PROCEDURES A replacement transmitter will be sent at a prorated fee (based on the end of the original warranty of the transmitter being returned) along with a postage paid label marked with a Return Authorization number. Simply replace the suspect transmitter with the new replacement and send the suspect transmitter back to Secure Care Products within 15 days with facility name and address, and the TXRA Number displayed, and a description of the transmitter problem.
SECTION 2 POLICY AND PROCEDURES Applying the Transmitter to the Infant 1. Remove the Transmitter from the Transmitter containment box and cut a strap from the spool. SECTION 2 4. POLICY AND PROCEDURES Test the Transmitter using the Tester to verify the ID code as shown below. The strap should be aligned front to back. Figure 2-6 - Testing a transmitter 5. Apply the transmitter to the infant's ankle comfortably (not too tight). During daily care, check to see if strap needs to be adjusted. Figure 2-7 - Example of a transmitter attached to an infant. 6. Trim the excess strap down to the top of the transmitter leaving enough to make adjustments later if necessary.
SECTION 2 POLICY AND PROCEDURES Removing the Transmitter from the Infant 1. Turn on the Tester and verify the green power LED labeled PWR is on solid; if blinking, replace the 9-volt battery. 2. Enter the Security Code *23456 and verify that "ENABLE" is displayed on tester. 3. Orient the transmitter on the infant's leg as shown to the right. 4. Place the Tester display end so it is actually touching the transmitter front with the strap facing front to back. 5.

APPENDIX A PROGRAMMING THE ID NURSE STATION WITH TRANSMITTER INFORMATION The Model SC-40 ID System was designed to assist your facility nursing staff with the difficult task of managing your residents, infants, and assets. This system was designed to identify the transmitter, who the transmitter is assigned to, and what door the transmitter is near. In order for the Model SC-40 ID System to provide this valuable information, the Nurse Station must first be programmed with all this information.
