SCLAK INTERNATIONAL LIMITED GUARANTEE

This product is guaranteed by SCLAK against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship

during the guarantee period of 12 (twelve) months starting from the initial date of purchase. The

international SCLAK guarantee is an extra benefit by the manufacturer, which does not affect

consumer’s Statutory Rights. The international manufacturer’s guarantee covers all costs related to

restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the

repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labour. The manufacturer will comply

with his guarantee’s duties providing the consumer with the product repair or replacement, or with the

purchase price reduction or with the acceptance of the contract cancellation. Before asking the price

reduction or the contract cancellation, the consumer must have already asked – without success – for

a product repair or replacement. The international SCLAK guarantee only applies within the guarantee

period and is valid only on presentation of a proof of purchase giving evidence of the purchased

product, of the date and place of purchase. The defective product can be personally delivered to an

authorized SCLAK service centre or can be properly packaged and sent to an authorized SCLAK

service centre via recorded mail (or equivalent posting method). All the authorized SCLAK service

centres and their contact details are listed on the SCLAK website (http://www.sclak.com). The

international SCLAK guarantee will not cover any damage, which could occur as a result of misuse,

negligence and failure to follow SCLAK instructions or a modification or unauthorized repair of the

product. The international SCLAK guarantee also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or

replacement of consumable parts. The international SCLAK guarantee does not apply to any product

that has been tampered with, or to damages incurred through improper use and care, faulty packaging

by the owner or mishandling by any carrier. Should the product not be locally sold by SCLAK, the

international SCLAK guarantee does not apply in case of non-conformity of the purchased product

with the local standards, such as voltage, frequency, power plugs, or other local technical

specifications. The repair process for products purchased outside the Country of use may require a

longer time if the product is not locally sold by SCLAK. This international SCLAK guarantee does not

affect the statutory rights a consumer may have or those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor

rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product. This guarantee gives a

consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights, which vary from

Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion. Accessories,

Consumables and end-user replaceable parts can be purchased – if available – as described on the

SCLAK website (http://www.sclak.com).

CONNECTION GUIDE Remove the lock cover, disconnect the power cable and connect this to the SCLAK unit. Use another cable to connect the SCLAK unit to the lock. Use the following illustration to select the correct connection option for your lock.

2. 3. POSITION THE SCLAK UNIT 4. DRILL HOLES AND FIX THE UNIT Place the SCLAK unit in the correct position for installation. For best results we recommend positioning the unit close to the existing lock. If this not possible, then position it close to the relevant switch. After positioning the SCLAK unit with the double-sided adhesive, drill holes to correctly fix the unit to the base. The base can be fixed to wooden or metallic doorframes or to walls using the appropriate supplied screws. Fig.A Fig.

7. ACTIVATE SCLAK Place the SCLAK cover over the base unit, ensuring that the contact points are correctly aligned. Check that the LED lights are working correctly and secure the unit with the 4 supplied screws. COMPATIBILITY SCLAK is compatible with every kind of electronic lock; it can be used with existing access registration systems, including traditional keys. It does not require an Internet connection. It works with all smartphones with Bluetooth 4.0 running iOS 8 or above, Android 4.3 or above.
