Opening the Package The SCEPTRE SOUND BAR is packaged in a carton. Any standard accessories are packed separately in another carton. The weight of the SOUND BAR is approximately 4.74 lbs. Due to the size and weight of the product, it is suggested that it must be handled by a minimum of 1 or more persons. Please handle the product gently. When opening the carton, check that the product is in good condition and that all standard accessories and items are included.

Identifying Front and Rear Panel Front & Top View 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. POWER – This button turns the Sound Bar on or off. SOURCE – This button selects the sound connection between COAX (digital) and AUX (analog). MODE – This button selects all the sound modes (MOVIE, MUSIC, NEWS, GAMES). a. MOVIE – This sound mode is made for watching movies. b. MUSIC – This sound mode is made for listening to music broadcasts. c. NEWS – This sound mode is made for watching the news. d.

RUBBER FEET – These two protruding plastic piece are for installing rubber feet onto the back of the speaker so that when the Sound Bar is mounted the plastic shell on the back will not hit the wall. WALL MOUNT STUDS – The two studs slide into the wall mounting plate so you can wall mount the Sound Bar. DC POWER PLUG – This connection plugs into the AC adapter to provide the Sound Bar with electricity.
Mounting the Sound Bar To mount the Sound Bar you need to install the mounting plate onto the wall first. 1. 2. 3. Take the mounting plate and place it leveled against the wall. With a pencil mark the two entry points where you are going to install the dry wall anchors. With a #2 Phillips screw driver press the anchor tip slightly into the point marked previously on the drywall. Applying pressure, turn the screw driver until the anchor is flush with the drywall. Do this for both drywall anchors.
4. 5. Insert the screw through the mounting plate and turn into the anchor. The drywall anchor will “CLICK” once, when the screw is half way in, in order to indicate that the anchor is secure. Please continue tightening until the screw and the wall mounting plate is secure. Installing Batteries to the Remote Control Please insert one CR2025 lithium battery into the remote control. Make sure that you match the (+) and (-) symbols on the batteries with the (+) and (-) symbols inside the battery compartment.
SCEPTRE Sound Bar Remote & Extras This remote uses a lithium CR2025 battery. 1. POWER – Turns the Sound Bar on or off. 2. VOLUME (–) – Press this button to decrease the volume. 3. NEWS – Press this button to switch to the NEWS sound mode. 4. MUSIC – Press this button to switch to the MUSIC sound mode. 5. AUX – Press this button to switch to the analog audio source AUX. 6. MUTE – Press this button to mute the volume. 7. VOLUME (+) – Press this button to increase the volume. 8.
Some Sceptre HDTV remotes might also have buttons used to control the sound bar. If you see S. source, S. mode, S. Vol (+/-) buttons, you can use them to control the Sound Bar. 1. 2. 3. 4. S. Connection Suggestions If you have digital audio with your TV 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Obtain a SPDIF digital audio coax cable. Find the SPDIF digital audio coax connection on the back of the TV and connect one end of the cable to it. Connect the other end of the cable to the back of the Sceptre Sound Bar’s orange coax connection. Turn on the TV, make sure you output PCM signal to the Sceptre Sound Bar. Turn on the Sceptre Sound Bar and press the COAX button on the Sceptre Sound Bar remote.
If you have analog audio with your TV 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Obtain a RCA analog audio (red / white head) cable. Find the analog audio out on the back of the TV and connect one end of the cable to it matching the colors red to red, and white to white. Connect the other end of the cable to the back of the Sceptre Sound Bar’s AUX red and white connection. Turn on the TV, and the Sceptre Sound Bar. Operation TO SWITCH ON / OFF THE UNIT 1. 2. Press the POWER button on the front panel or the RED button on the remote control to turn on the unit. If the unit is on you will see the display window show the source selected, volume level and sound mode. Press the POWER button on the front panel or the RED button on the remote control again to turn off the unit. SELECTING A SOURCE 1. Press the SOURCE button on the control panel repeatedly to switch between sources.
How do I clean the Sceptre Sound Bar? IMPORTANT 1. 2. The power cable has to be removed from the socket before cleaning the Sound Bar. Do not use volatile solvent (alcohol, rosin, and toluene) to clean the Sound Bar. These types of chemicals might damage the housing . Cleaning the bezel and remote control 1. 2.
