Charge the battery 11 Connect the USB end of the travel adapter to the USB connection port of your recorder. Connect the power plug of the travel adapter to the wall outlet. Charge the battery before you use your recorder for the first time or when you have not used it for a long time. Connect to a PC 12 Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to the USB connection port of your recorder. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the USB port of a PC. Connect your recorder to a PC to transfer recorded files from your recorder and edit them on the PC. You can also download music files or charge the battery. Some features of Kies may change without prior notice. Connect your recorder to a PC using the USB cable. ■■ ■■ See page 12 to connect the recorder to your PC. When the recorder is connected to your PC, Kies launches automatically on your PC. Click in the Kies Widget Dock. Click at the top of the Contents Manager.
17 Manage files > Download files Download files using your recorder as a removable disk Connect your recorder to a PC using the USB cable. On your PC, open and then the folder. Select appropriate sound effects for music. Press at the beginning of the section you want to repeat. • is displayed at the top of the screen and the color of the progress bar changes. Listen to the FM radio FM Radio You can listen to and record the FM radio, as well as save radio stations. Learn how to use the FM radio on your recorder. In the main menu, select Press ■■ ■■ . to scan the radio stations. Press / to scroll through radio frequencies. Press and hold / to scan the available stations automatically. Listen to the FM radio. Note You must connect the earphones to your recorder to listen to the FM radio. The earphones serve as a radio antenna.
31 Listen to the FM radio > FM Radio Save radio stations You can save your favourite radio stations to access them easily. Record the FM radio You can record audio from an FM radio station. From the FM radio screen, press Save the current radio station . Select . ■■ FM recording starts. Press ■■ to stop recording. The recorded file is saved automatically. Select to play the recorded file. ■■ ■■ After playing the recorded file, the FM radio screen appears.
