2.3.4.4 GPLIMT

Gigabit PoE LAN Interface Module TX (GPLIMT) is a module that transmits and receives

data in Intranet. This module provides 12-10/100 BASE-T interface port and 2-10/100/

1000 BASE-TX port as the GbE interface is added comparing to the PLIM module.

GPLIMT functions as a hub for simple switching and provides VLAN function for

supporting QoS interworking with GWIMT in the same module.

The GPLIMT acts as a Managed Switch and provides functions such as VLAN, QoS and

RSTP.

Main Functions

The main functions of the GPLIMT data module are as follows:

y L2 Ethernet Switching

y 10/100 BASE Full/Half duplex auto-sensing

y Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP)

y VLAN Networking (802.1q)

y Packet Priority Control (802.1p)

y Flow Control (802.3x)

y Multi-casting (IGMP Snooping)

y IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The specifications of the GPLIMT data module are as follows:

y 12-10/100 BASE-T interface ports

y 2-10/100/1000 BASE-TX interface ports

y One Serial Console port (available to P12)
