Application Guide

To achieve the best user experience, please read the user manual and review
the TIPS below prior to using the oximeter.
1. The CMS 50F has the ability to record and store 24 hours’ worth of data which can be
downloaded to the computer via USB or Bluetooth for analysis. Please note though that the
CMS50F Bluetooth does not connect to the computer via a PIN. The device can only be paired
with the computer via the proprietary SpO2 assistant program that comes with the 50F. It will
not pair with the computer via “Add a Device”.
2. To connect the oximeter to a computer, following are the steps:
(a) Install the SpO2 Assistant software on the computer.
(b) Turn on the oximeter and set the “wireless” option on the menu to “on”.
(c) Start the SpO2 program on the computer. Select “Connect Device”. If you see the message
“No available device(s) found”, this indicates that your computer/laptop does not have
Bluetooth capability. In that case, connect the oximeter to the computer via USB cable. If you
have Bluetooth on the computer, it will detect the device automatically when you select
“Connect Device”.
(d) If you wish, you may also refer to the manufacturer website. A step-by-step video is
available which shows you how to connect the CMS 50F to the computer.
3. The SpO2 Assistant software works with Windows 7, 8 or 10. However, it will not work with
MAC unless Windows is already installed on the MAC using Bootcamp. It does not work on
smartphones, tablets or any other smart devices.
4. For the probe to work, please make sure that the finger is fitted properly into the probe. For
a more accurate read, the finger should remain stationary while inside the probe. The oximeter
is not suitable for continuous monitoring of SpO2 levels if the body does not remain stationary.
