Introduction Samson AirLine The Samson AirLine UHF guitar system detailed in this manual is designed to replace the cable between your electric guitar or bass and your onstage amplifier or PA mixer, freeing you to roam the stage or even visit the audience in the middle of your performance! It operates in the uncrowded 801 - 805 MHz UHF frequency range and contains an AP1 “stomp box”-style receiver and either of two plug-in micro-transmitter models—an AF1 (designed to fit the recessed style jack in Fender
ENGLISH Samson AirLine QuickStart If you’ve had some prior experience using wireless systems, these QuickStart instructions will get you up and running with your AirLine UHF guitar system in a matter of minutes! Detailed instructions for setting up and using your AirLine system can be found on page 9 of this manual, and the “Guided Tour” sections on pages 4 - 8 provide full descriptions of all AirLine component controls and displays. 1.

LOW POWER 1: Power switch - Move this switch in the direction of the arrow to turn power to the AP1 on; move it away from the arrow to turn power off. 3 2: Power On / Battery Low LED - This LED lights green whenever the AP1 is powered on and it lights red whenever the battery in the AP1 is running low.
Guided Tour - AP1 Receiver Samson AirLine S • • • 5 ∞LEVEL LEVEL PICKUP 8: Plastic screwdriver - Specially designed for use in adjusting the AP1 Squelch control (see #11 on the following page). See the “Setting Up and Using Your AirLine System” section on page 9 in this manual for more information. ACTI VE HI 7: Battery compartment - Insert a standard 9-volt alkaline battery here, being sure to observe the plus and minus polarity markings shown. We recommend the Duracell MN 1604 type battery.
Guided Tour - AP1 Receiver ENGLISH Samson AirLine 9: Output jack - Use this standard unbalanced high impedance (5 - 10 K Ohm) 1/4" jack to connect the AP1 to your amplifier or audio mixer. Wiring is as follows: tip hot, sleeve ground. OUTPUT 10: DC input - Connect an optional 12 volt 200 mA power adapter (available from your Samson dealer) here. WARNING: Do not substitute any other kind of power adapter; doing so can cause severe damage to the AP1 and will void your warranty.

Setting Up and Using Your AirLine System Samson AirLine 1. For your AirLine system to work correctly, both the receiver and transmitter must be set to the same channel. Remove all packing materials (save them in case of need for future service) and check to make sure that the supplied AP1 receiver and AF1 or AG1 transmitter are set to the same channel (a complete channel plan is printed on page 47 in this manual).
ENGLISH Samson AirLine Setting Up and Using Your AirLine System connect a 12-volt AC adapter (available as an option from your Samson dealer). Turn the AP1 on momentarily to confirm that the battery has been installed correctly (or that the adapter has been connected correctly); the “On/Battery Low” LED should light green and not red. Then turn the AP1 power off. 6. Make the physical cable connection between the AP1 output jack and an audio input of your amplifier or mixer.
Setting Up and Using Your AirLine System Samson AirLine 12. When first setting up your AirLine System in a new environment, it’s always a good idea to do a walkaround in order to make sure that coverage is provided for your entire performance area. Accordingly, turn down the level of your audio system and turn on both the transmitter and receiver.

Schneller Einstieg Samson AirLine 6. Drehen Sie den Level-Regler des AP1 ganz nach links und schalten Sie dann den AP1 ein. Die “Power” LED leuchtet jetzt konstant grün. 7. Schalten Sie Ihren AF1 oder AG1 Sender ein. Die “TX/Peak” LED des AP1 Empfängers sollte konstant grün leuchten und damit anzeigen, dass er gültige Radiofrequenz-Signale (RF) empfängt und richtig platziert ist. 8. Schalten Sie den angeschlossenen Verstärker oder Mischer ein, aber lassen Sie seinen Pegel ganz zurückgedreht.
Übersicht - Empfänger AP1 Samson AirLine 2 ON BATT. LOW POWER 1: Netzschalter – Bewegen Sie diesen Schalter in Richtung des Pfeiles, um den AP1 einzuschalten. Bewegen Sie ihn vom Pfeil weg, um den AP1 auszuschalten. 3 2: Ein/Batterie leer LED – Diese LED leuchtet grün, wenn Sie den AP1 einschalten, und rot, wenn die Batteriespannung des AP1 nachlässt.
Übersicht - Empfänger AP1 Samson AirLine 5: Antennen – Da die beiden AP1 Antennen auf einem Schwenkgelenk montiert sind, können sie in alle Richtungen gedreht und somit optimal positioniert werden. Bei normalem Betrieb sollten beide Antennen vertikal aufgerichtet und leicht nach außen gerichtet sein. Zum Transport des AP1 können die Antennen nach innen geklappt werden.

AirLine System einrichten und einsetzen Samson AirLine Das grundlegende Verfahren zum Einrichten und Einsetzen Ihres AirLine Systems dauert nur wenige Minuten: 1. Damit Ihr AirLine System richtig funktioniert, müssen Empfänger und Sender auf den gleichen Kanal eingestellt sein.
Samson AirLine AirLine System einrichten und einsetzen Sie dann vorsichtig die Klappe. Sie können auch einen 12-Volt Wechselstromadapter anschließen (als Sonderzubehör bei Ihrem Samson-Händler erhältlich). Schalten Sie den AP1 kurz ein, um sicherzustellen, dass die Batterie korrekt eingesetzt wurde (oder dass der Adapter korrekt angeschlossen wurde). Die “Ein/leere Batterie” LED sollte grün (nicht rot) leuchten. Schalten Sie den AP1 dann aus. 6.

Samson AirLine Arranque rápido 7. Encienda su transmisor AF1 o AG1. Samson AirLine Ajuste y uso de su sistema AirLine El procedimiento básico de ajuste y uso de su sistema AirLine solo le llevará unos pocos minutos: 1. Para que su sistema AirLine funcione correctamente, tanto el receptor como el transmisor deberán estar ajustados al mismo canal.
Ajuste y uso de su sistema AirLine Samson AirLine del compartimento de la pila del AP1 y abra la tapa del mismo (no use demasiada fuerza cuando abra o cierre la tapa de la pila; tiene un gozne de cierre y no debe ser separada de la carcasa). Introduzca una pila alcalina de 9 voltios nueva y después cierre con cuidado la tapa del compartimento de la pila. De forma alternativa, también puede conectar un adaptador de corriente AC de 12 voltios (disponible de forma opcional en su distribuidor Samson).
Samson AirLine Ajuste y uso de su sistema AirLine 10. Si escucha cualquier distorsión o si el piloto “TX/Peak” del AP1 se ilumina en rojo incluso con el parche de 15 dB activado y el control de nivel al mínimo (completamente a la izquierda), reduzca el nivel de salida de su instrumento hasta que el piloto ya no se ilumine.
Guided Tour - UR1 Receiver / Front Panel 1: Antennas (A and B) - The antenna mountings allow full rotation for optimum placement. In normal operation, both Antenna A (the antenna on the left) and Antenna B (the antenna on the right) should be placed in a vertical position. Both antennas can be folded inward for convenience when transporting the UR1. See the “Setting Up and Using the AirLine System” section on page 16 in this manual for information about antenna installation and positioning.
Samson AirLine Guided Tour - UR1 Receiver / Front Panel 4: A/B Receiver LEDs - When signal is being received, one of these will be lit green, showing you whether the (left) “A” or (right) “B” receiver is currently being used. The UR1 constantly scans its two antennas and automatically selects whichever is receiving the strongest, clearest signal.
