User Manual for BTS Mod1 Module
Note: This User Manual is for internal use only, as this device is a module that would be incorporated into a final
assembly. The final assemblies using this module would each have an appropriate User Manual specific to their
features/functions.
The BTS Mod1 is an electronic sub-assembly for use within Salutron designed health and fitness tracking devices such
as sports watches and heart rate monitoring chest straps.
The BTS Mod1 will function as the Bluetooth Smart (Low Energy) radio to transmit data to Bluetooth compatible devices
such as mobile phones, personal computers, notebooks, etc.
For radio function, pairing will be required between the fitness tracking device and the receiving device (mobile phone,
personal computer, etc.) Pairing will be automatic based on existing Bluetooth protocols.
After the fitness tracking device is powered on, the receiving device will search for the transmitting device. The user will
select and confirm the fitness tracking device, and pairing will be complete. After this first time pairing, the receiving
device will automatically recognize the fitness tracking device.
