A Quick Look at your Player 4
The Display Icons The Power Supply When the battery shows 3.9 Vs, the power supply is adequate. The power will decrease as you use your device.
When the device does not have enough battery power remaining, the battery icon shows empty. Please recharge the device at once. Please turn off the power using the power on/off switch on the back of the device, if you do not intend to use the device for a long period of time. Personal Media Player Operation Menu Access Press the Mode key to enter various menus.
Press and hold down the Mode key to enter the Main Menu. Use the Next or Previous buttons to browse the various submenus.

Adjust the volume Press and release the ‘VOL’ button. Press the Previous button to decrease the volume, or press the Next to increase Power On/Off Press and hold down the PLAY/ PAUSE/ STOP key to switch the device on. Press and hold down the PLAY/ PAUSE/ STOP key again to shut down.

If the song name is: A do-tore the night.mp3 Then the lyrics name is: A do - tore the night. lrc How to know if the song has lyrics or not. Play the file in AMV format (Movie function) Please refer to play music mode to operate the movie. Please note the following keys are used when in the AMV mode: PLAY: Pause/Play, press and hold to shut down. MODE: Press and hold to enter the main menu. PRE/ NEXT: Previous / next.
Voice Mode Please insure the device has sufficient power when recording. This machine supports each catalogue could save 99 Piece record files. Record sound in the " Recording mode" 1. Enter the main menu: 2. Use the Next key to select Recording mode. 3.

If shows “the space is full", there is no space to save a new recording file. Please delete other text files to release the space.
If shows “the catalogue is full", this catalogue has already had 99 recording documents, please save it in another catalogue. Using the Next key, choose "Recording type" menu, press the Mode key to enter it. Use the next key to choose the recording type, press the Mode key to confirm it.

Choose the recording documents. Previous key: to choose the previous recording file. Next key: to choose the next recording document. Control the volume by pressing the ‘VOL’ buttons. Read mode (e-book) Choose the Reading mode in the main menu, press the Mode key to enter.
Reading: Press the Previous or Next key to choose txt format file, then press the Play key to play. Press and hold down the Mode key to quit the e-book mode and enter the main interface at the same time.
Picture browser You can browse pictures in JPEG, BMP and GIF format. The document status when choosing • When entering the browser you can see the picture’s status as follows: The picture interface-document choice: Choose the picture PIC3. BMP If there is no document stored, then the catalogue is empty.

• "Firmware Edition" Show the existing firmware edition that player is using at present. • "The Firmware Upgrade" First enter the upgrade interface, you can then upgrade the firmware. • “CD format” You can separate the CD format - FAT16 or FAT32. Technical hint: After pressing the Mode key to confirm your settings, you can press “Play” to exit the menu quickly. This operation is valid for all menus.
Using your USB This device has the standard USB disk function, supporting Windows98 (install driver on the CD accompanying the device), Windows 2000 and above, Mac OS 10.3 and above, Linux Redhat8.0 and above (no need to install the driver). The USB supplies power for the device when connected to the computer: in the "waiting” mode press the Mode key, to enter the main menu, then operate the device normally.
Other settings Choose a different catalogue (Stop submenu) The customer can put different documents in different catalogues. This is convenient for classifying and playing the files. This device supports the 9 “first-class“ sub-menu. 1. Enter the stop interface (The current mode is Music mode, whenever on recording or play mode can choose the catalogue). 2.

Deletion mode (Stop submenu) You can delete corresponding files when in the music mode, the play mode and FM mode. 1. Enter the stop interface (The FM has no stop interface). 34 2. Press the Mode key to enter the submenu.

Play mode (Play submenu) While playing music or recording files, the user can choose different modes to play (such as the repetition, the circle play etc.). On the submenu, the first item is "Play mode", set this to define the mode in which you wish to play your files. Repeat When the current song is finished, will go on to the next one until all the music has finished playing. (Common mode, Normal) Play a single song again and again. (Single song circle, Repeat One) Play all the music in the folder.
○ Random play Play the songs in random order. (Play random, Random) ○Browse Play first 10 seconds of all the music. (Browse play) The Playing speed (Play submenu) 1. While playing the music (only valid to MP3 format), you can choose the speed (quick or slow), but you can’t make changes to the tone. 2. Repeat reading mode (Play submenu) ○ A- B repeat read 1. Play the music. 2. Press the Mode key to enter the submenu. 3. Use the Next key to choose the "Repeat reading mode" menu. 4. Press the Mode key to enter "Repeat reading mode". "A- B" will start to shine, waiting for confirmation of the start point “A”. 5. Use the Next key to confirm ‘A” point. "B" will start to shine, waiting for confirmation of the end point “B”. 6. Use the Next key to confirm the “B” point.
Read after (Play music in Public mode does not feature this function) 1. In the “A- B” repeat reading mode 2. Press the Next key to enter “Read after” mode. 3. The "A- B" repeated reading marks become the “A-B” read after marks. Calculate the time. The time is how long “A-B” repeated reading takes. 4. When the time is up, and the device plays original music, the mark changes to " ". Press Next to enter the contrast reading mode.
Contrast function (play music in the public mode does not feature this function) 1. After entering the Contrast function, the repeat reading mark become" ", play the original music at this time. 2. After the music is complete, the diagram mark will change to" ", now the user’s “Read after” voice will play. Press the Previous key to return to the “Read after” function. Press the Mode key to quit when in any of the three modes above.
Times of repeat reading (Play submenu) Please refer to "The screen enactment" to set the repeat times. After the repeat times have been set, the play will quit the “A-B” point repeat reading automatically. Interval of the repeat reading (Play submenu) Please refer to "The screen enactment" to set the interval. The interval set determines the stop length between this and the last song played (unit: seconds).

Installing the Personal Media Player Toolkit 1. Insert your CD into your CD drive on your PC 2. The "MP3 Player Utilities 4.13" setup window will appear. 3. Follow the setup instructions screens as they appear.
4. Confirm the installation location of the application and click "Next".
5. Read the "Read Me First" screen and click "Next".
6. Click "Next" again to confirm the installation.
7. When the installation is complete, click "Close" to finish.
Open the Personal Media Player Toolkit 1. 2. Click on the "Start" Button on your Windows toolbar. Click on the "All Programs" option that appears to open the list of the programs on your PC.

MP3 Player Disk Tool- Protect part of your removable disk with a username and password. MP3 Player Upgrade Tool - Upgrade the software on your PMP Player. The Media Manager The Media Manager allows you to organize and manage the multimedia files you have on your PC and your PMP player. You can also move files back and forth between them.
Add Files to your Media Manager Library You can add individual multimedia files to your Media Manager library from your PC. 1. Click the “Add File” button on the Media Manager toolbar. 2. Select a file or files from the desired location on your PC with the “Open” window that appears. Note: To select more than one file, hold the CTRL button and select the desired files. 3. Click the “Open” button to add the file(s) to the Media Manager library. 4. The selected files will appear in the View Playlist window.

Double click on the file in the View Playlist window that you would like to open. Alternatively, right click on the file in the View Playlist window and select the “Open/Play” option from the options window that appears. If the selected file is a picture file the picture will open in a window. If the selected file is a music file the music will begin to play.
View the Multimedia Files in your Media Manager Library 1. Select a playlist from the “Computer” window. 2. The contents of that playlist will appear in the View Playlist window. 3. Double click on the file in the View Playlist window that you would like to open. Alternatively, right click on the file in the View Playlist window and select the “Open/Play” option from the options window that appears. 4. Use the USB cable that came with your player to connect it to your PC. A tree of playlists will appear in the “MP3” window. Convert your AVI video files to AMV format so that they can be viewed on your PMP player. Convert AVI video files to AMV Format 1. Open the AMV Video Convert Tool. 2. Select an input file that you would like to convert by clicking on the input file button and selecting a video file from the window that appears. 3. Select a location where you would like to save the converted file by clicking on the “AMV Path” button and selecting a location in the window that appears.
4. Click the “Begin” button to start converting the selected file to AMV format. 5. The progress of the conversion will be displayed in the “Transcoding Progress” indicator. 6. When the Conversion is complete, the “AMV Player” window will appear and begin playing the converted file in AMV format. Shorten your Video Clips You can shorten the clips that you would like to put on your PMP player. 1.

View AMV Videos on your PC 1. Click the "Add File" button in the AMV Player Controls. 2. Select the AMV video file you would like to view from the "Open" window that appears and click "Open". 3. The name and length of the video file will appear in the Video Information Box. Note: you can open several AMV videos in the Video information box at one time. 4. Select the Video you would like to view from the Video Information Box. 5. Use the AMV Player Controls to view the video.
PMP Player Disk Tool Partition your removable disk and protect part of it with a username and password. 1. Open the “PMP Player Disk Manager” 2. Select the “Partition and Encrypt” tab. 3. Set the amount of disk space you would like to encrypt. 4. Check the “Set user name and password” option. 5. In “New user name” box, enter a user name; in “New password” box, enter a password.
6. Click “Start” to start partitioning 7. A window will appear indicating when the partition is complete. 8. Press “OK”, the computer will ask to restart. Confirm and restart the computer. 9. After restarting, you will see two new disks appear. (For versions before Windows 2000 SP4, you will only see one disk.).Click to view the encrypted disk (the second one). There are three files under it. Two are hidden files, and the third one is an executable file. 10. Run the “RdiskDecrypt.exe”.
MP3 Player Upgrade Tool Your player’s firmware can be upgraded or maintained by using the MP3 Player Upgrade Tool. A firmware upgrade is intended to improve and optimize the performance of the player. The player can still run normally even its firmware is not upgraded. 1. Open the MP3 Player Upgrade Tool 2.
