Automatic clock setting When you plug in your clock radio for the first time it will receive and synchronise to the official UK standard frequency and time signal transmitter (MSF) located at Rugby in the U.K. At certain times of the year the MSF transmitter closes down for maintenance during this time it will be necessary to set the clock manually (see the sections headed Setting the time manually). Recorded information on transmitter status can be obtained on 020 8943 6493.
Setting the time manually 1. To set the time, press and hold down the Time button. 2. Whilst holding down the Time Set button press the Forward or Reverse buttons to set the time. Release the buttons when the correct time is reached. The clock uses a 12 hour display with a PM indicator. Ensure that the correct 12 hour cycle is selected. 3.
Setting alarm times The alarms can be set to wake you by either the buzzer or the radio. Your alarm clock radio has 2 separate alarms which can be set to activate at different times. Setting alarm 1 1. Slide the Alarm function switch to the ‘ ’ position. 2. Press and hold down the ALARM/OFF button. 3. Whilst holding down the ALARM/OFF button press the Forward or Reverse buttons to set the required alarm time. Release the buttons when the correct alarm time is reached.
Checking the Alarm Times 1. To check alarm 1 time, set the Alarm function switch to the ' position. 1' 2. Press the ALARM/OFF button to display the alarm 1 time. 3. To check alarm 2 time, set the Alarm function switch to the ' position. 2' 4. Press the ALARM/OFF button to display the alarm 2 time. Note: The alarm times cannot be checked if the Alarm function switch is in the ' 1+2 ' position.
Setting the alarms to wake to buzzer 1. Set the alarm time as previously described. 2. Set the Function switch to the 'Buzz' position. 3. To turn off the alarm until the next day press the ALARM/ OFF button. To turn off the alarm permanently set the Function switch to the 'Off' position. 4.
Snooze control 1. The radio or buzzer alarm can be silenced for 9 minutes by pressing the Snooze button. This sequence can be repeated during the 60 minute alarm period. Sleep timer The radio can be set to turn off after a preset time has elapsed. 1. Press and hold down the SLEEP button. 2. Set the sleep time using the Forward or Reverse buttons (maximum 1 hour 59 minutes in 1 minute steps). The radio will switch off after the sleep time has elapsed. 3.
General Fuse Do not allow this unit to be exposed to water or steam. It is recommended that the FM band be used wherever possible as better results in terms of quality and freedom from interference will usually be obtained than on the MW or LW bands. Mains supply Back-up Battery (not necessary for the unit to function) Your CR9931 will operate from a supply of AC 230volts, 50Hz only. For your convenience this product is supplied with a plug which is fitted with a fuse of the appropriate rating.
